Wonderful, Unique and not Woo Woo - Excellent way to celebrate Mother's Day! Amanda was very communicative before the event and even chose a better (drier) location in time for our journey. Definitely wear sturdy shoes and something to wear where you'd feel comfortable sitting or laying on the ground off the defined path. We did 4 guided forest reflections at 3 different spots and while walking. It's not hike per se, but was wonderful being with a guide outside for 2 1/2 hours where we felt safe, got fresh air, and a short but challenging "strolls" in the woods. Amanda gave us space to reflect and share but wasn't too " woo woo" about it like some people in this field. We lucked out with a very sunny warm day and we could tell she was determining her questions and experiences based on what what unique for us - not just a cookie cutter activity. The fresh birch tea and gratitude ceremony at the end --near the babbling brook - was a peaceful and serene way o end the immersion experience. I learned some skills that I plan to use again on my own hiking and forest trips. I highly recommend Amanda for this and other guided hiking excursions!

Reverent and grounding - Before traveling to Brattleboro, I checked to see whether there were any guided nature activities. Delighted, I came across Amanda, who is the Landkind Guide, and took part in her two hour Forest Immersion. Another person I did not previously know participated. When she, Amanda, and I connected deeply with the forest, I felt we were all relatable like old friends and that I could be my genuine self around them. They shared a similar sentiment. We were there together in the present moment and it felt like being fully alive. Together, we connected with a love for the living trees, water, and earth. It was refreshing to be around others who find the magic in the ecosystem. Amanda imbued reverence and gratitude and we could see, hear, taste, smell, and feel the details rather than just pass through. The rest I will leave for you to explore, for this is an activity that comes alive when it is experienced rather than narrated.

Turn on Your Senses - Very unique, tranquil experience. We strolled through the woods and stopped at least 5 times for a focused activity to activate our senses

Wonderful meditative engagement with the woods - Although we often walk in the woods, Amanda guided us to a much deeper and more reflective engagement with nature. We went out on a cold day with a light snowfall, and she not only modulated the experience to keep us moving enough to stay warm, she also helped us appreciate the joy and delight of falling snow. We left filled with quiet minds and full hearts!

Deep dive into the gentleness of nature - My partner and I both very much enjoyed this experience. I continue to think about it, particularly the respect and care for nature that Amanda showed. I live on the edge of woods and go there daily. Yet still I learned things I hadn't known.. such as around experiencing sound in a new way and "tasting the air." Afterward, my partner said that it was just what she needed. I would highly recommend this experience to others who want to deepen their relationship with nature. Thank you Amanda. I won't forget your cool experience with the daddy log leg. We're looking forward to the next immersion with you.

Relaxing retreat with an experienced and thoughtful guide - Amanda really knows the trails so well. I found the experience very enjoyable and safe with her as my guide! I felt connected to her approach and the experience exceeded my expectations. I thought the exploration of “taste” through steeping pine tree tea was also a great touch. I’m grateful she does these as I was able to really enjoy VT nature solo and safely , too! I’ll definitely be doing another retreat with her again. I’d only bring bug spray with me next time!
