Interesting historical tour - The tour was very interesting with good clear history of events centred on the areas we walked to. The pace was good. The tour guide had a friendly and amusing manner. She was very knowledgeable. Although we have in in or near Newcastle for over 50 years we went to places we had not been before.

True Crime Woven Into The Local Landmarks - I booked this with a friend and wasn't sure what to expect. Josh was amazing, telling us stories of local crimes and how they tied into the places around the city. It was very interactive and there were a couple of detours from the programme. First, a story about the railway station lights as we were passing, and also a detour to Blackfriars when my friend commented about the lights. Here it was evident how knowledgeable Josh was when he shared the history, even though it wasn't officially part of the tours. I will definitely booking another tour at some point in the near future.

Great tour of Newcastle’s most sordid crimes - Jo took us on an engaging tour of the various sites of murder and mayhem, delivering her true crime stories with intrigue, humour and a storyteller’s flair. She gave insightful historical context about each of the murder sites, conveying a sense of Newcastle’s sweeping history with some of its most infamous murders and heinous fiends. Especially loved the part about Heron’s oubliette. Very creepy to see a pit of despair at night knowing what happened down there centuries ago! Came away feeling like I learned a lot about Newcastle as a historical city in the process, and would definitely recommend this tour to friends and family!

Interesting and Informative - My friend and I really enjoyed this tour. Anna, our guide was very informative and told us about interesting things that we did not know about. The time flew by and before we knew it the tour was at an end. We would certainly recommend this tour.

Good but not great - Josh did a great job of walking us around Newcastle on a busy, cold march evening. The tour was interesting and nice to see local landmarks and find out unusual facts we’d not know otherwise. However as someone else has written, it’s a shame it only runs on a Friday evening, as the town was very busy with drinkers, stag/hen dos and this was distracting from the tour itself. At one point we had a few teenagers tag along as well which wasn’t great. Definitely worth doing and pleased we did as got some great photos but would have preferred if this had more date/time options.

Not for us - We didn't enjoy this at all unfortunately. We didn't find the history very interesting, or maybe it was how it was delivered. It was like following a school teacher around. We had done a brilliant tour on the morning so were looking forward to this one but it didn't deliver.
