Wonderful guided tour of my childhood home city - My wife and I love taking walking tours when we travel, but this one was special. I grew up in Newcastle and moved away over 30 years ago. I visit occasionally since my family still lives here, but this time we had a free afternoon and decided to see the city through fresh eyes. We booked Alina’s tour with less than a day’s notice, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. She led us through familiar streets and surprising new spots, sharing stories and insights that brought the city alive in ways I’d never known. Knowledgeable, engaging, and wonderfully paced. Highly recommend.

The best tour around Newcastle! - Michael was an amazing guide, who took us to all the best (secret) spots of Newcastle and told us all about the history and beauty of the city! As it is a private tour, you can visit whatever you like and suggest a meeting point. Worth every bit of it and we would recommend everyone to book!

A taste of Newcastle - Thanks Allina! Wonderful walk around town. So many places to see, so much history. In the afternoon we returned to look more in depth at the Lit and Phil and the castle. Great lunch recommendations!

Newcastle Brought to Life – A Must-Do Tour with Michael! - If you’re considering a walking tour of Newcastle, don’t hesitate to book with Michael – he’s simply outstanding. From start to finish, this tour was a masterclass in organisation and storytelling. Before the tour even started, the communication was spot on. Michael reached out with clear details about the meeting point, what to expect, and even some tips for making the most of the experience. It was clear from the start that he genuinely cared about creating a great experience. The tour itself was fantastic. Michael’s knowledge of Newcastle is second to none – he doesn’t just know the facts, he brings them to life with his passion and incredible storytelling. He has a way of weaving history, local legends, and fun anecdotes together that keeps you hooked from the very first stop. What really stood out was Michael’s enthusiasm for the city. You can tell he loves Newcastle, and that energy is infectious. Whether you’re a local or visiting for the first time, you’ll walk away seeing the city in a completely new light. The pace of the tour was perfect, and Michael was always checking in to make sure everyone was comfortable. It was well-organised, relaxed, and felt tailored to our group’s interests. If you’re after a tour that’s informative, entertaining, and completely hassle-free, Michael is your guy. Highly recommended!

Fun and Interesting - Michael was knowledgable and gave us a fun experience. We love learning about places we visit and this certainly fit the bill. We know know that anything of any value in the world started in Newcastle 😂 I’m partially sighted, and amicuael was very helpful in pointing out steps and kerbs as we approached them.

Very Disappointing - I fault the tour company for its false advertising. The guide was not a knowledgable local but a recent transplant from another country whose native language was not English. He knew little about the places we visited aand instead relied on reading from his phone or from posted signs at the attractions. We could have done this ourselves on a self-guided tour and saved a ton of money. I don't fault the guide... he did the best he could but because English wasn't his first language he misprounced many words so in addition to not knowing much, we couldn't understand a lot of what he said either. I fault this company for not hiring qualified guides... people who are really from Newcastle and can answer questions about its history. Stay away
