Beautiful Views! - My Family decided to do this impromptu before our admission to the 9/11 museum. We had no problem paying the fee to go up to the top but it was a little annoying all the “extras” you had to do just to get up to the top and see the views. You have to stop and get your picture taken for photos they try to sell you when you get to the top. You also have to stop and watch a movie about New York before they present the view to you which wasn’t bad but sometimes you just want to go up and see. It doesn’t need to be a whole experience. We had a perfect blue sky day so the views were incredible and the kids loved the elevator ride up and down. Super fast and fun. I would definitely recommend it to a person visiting NYC but I think it is kind of a one and done experience.

Amazing views - The views are exceptional if you go on a clear day. We went in the morning and it wasn't too crowded at all; basically had it to ourselves. There are a few benches tou can sit and take in the views and a restaurant.

One World Observatory - A Wonderful Experience! - This was my second time visiting One World Observatory and the One Dine Restaurant. Both times have been a wonderful experience! The views by day and night are beautiful, with 360 degree views of the city, including the Statue of Liberty. The sunset from above is gorgeous! Every employee from the door and elevator greeters, to the waitresses, and the supervisor on duty at One Dine (Matthew) was very attentive to details to make sure that every guests needs were beyond satisfactory from the moment they entered until the time they left. The food was also magnificent! (Make sure to try the cauliflower appetizer! You won't regret it!) Be sure to put the One World Observatory on your agenda when visiting New York City!

One World Observation Deck - at eye level with the clouds. - A remarkable experience of the highest class - I cannot describe it any other way. However, the visit should take place between 12 and 5 PM, then the visibility should still be good. I was on my way to the observation deck around 6:30 PM. Until then, the building was shrouded in clouds, providing only a limited view of New York. All in all, an experience that is highly recommended.

Unbeatable NYC Views. Totally Worth It! - Stunning views of New York. What more do you need? A photography package is offered at the top for an extra fee, but it’s reasonably priced and definitely worth it for the quality of the photos. A must-do experience in NYC. The lift takes you up to the top in seconds and is an experience in itself.

Great Views - Great views from the top of One World. We went early in the morning and there was hardly anyone there so had the place almost to ourselves. Great elevator ride and the photos were worth it aswell. Friendly helpful staff and the coffee shop was reasonably priced too.

Amazing View and Exhibits - Go early before the crowds and for clearer skies - Wow this was AMAZING, a true must do and see. The tower is so tall, the view is absolutely stunning. There are excellent displays everywhere around the tower, about history, about what you are seeing below and on the sky line. And the talk they give is very good, the docents wandering around ready to answer questions are great. I was very impressed, and was glad that I did it. I didn't do a guided tour, I was familiar with the location and the history and didn't feel I wanted my visit narrated by a stranger. I wasn't sure about visiting this location, a long time ago I used to travel to NYC for business, and I used to sit on the edge of the fountain in the middle of the World Trade Center buildings in the evening before going into my hotel for the night. I was afraid it would make me too sad, but I was OK, it was good to see the memorial fountains in the outer courtyards, I'm glad I went early to take it in without any crowds or too much noise. And the Oculus and Transportation building done by Santiago Calatrava was awesome, his designs are always so angular and eye catching. I did not do the museum, I think that might have been too sad, and there was a long line by mid day when I finished with the tower.

Tourist Trap: The $10 to $20 iPad Rental Scheme and Staff Dishonesty - The overall experience would have been okay, had it not been for one particular situation. As soon as you ascend, the staff immediately tries to rent you an iPad that provides information about the buildings visible from the observatory. The employee who assisted me quoted a price of $10 for the rental, so I accepted. However, when it came time to pay, she charged me $20. When I questioned her, she insisted that I must have misunderstood, claiming she had clearly stated that the rental itself was $10, implying there was an additional fee. Ultimately, I ended up paying the higher price. Later, inside the attraction, I spoke to another person who had also rented an iPad. He told me he paid only $10! They had tried the exact same tactic with him—quoting one price and then attempting to charge another—but he refused to pay, so they honored the original $10 price. In such a major tourist location, I felt I could trust the employees, but I quickly realized they are willing to do anything for extra money. I felt completely scammed. When I brought this up to the supervisor, he simply stated that the price was $20 and flatly denied that anyone had paid $10. He showed absolutely no willingness to help. This entire ridiculous experience completely ruined what should have been a great visit to this tourist spot.
