Chelsea Piers

The boat departs from Chelsea Piers, on Pier 62, which is located at West 22nd Street and the Hudson River. We are at the northernmost end of the Chelsea Piers on the water. Our ticket booth is located steps from the dock on Pier 62. Check in at the Classic Harbor Line ticket booth upon arrival.

Jazz sunset sailboat cruise to Statue of Liberty and NYC skyline - First off, I must give kudos to Reddit for recommending this is a must do activity for visitors to NYC. It was well with the trip from the beauty of the Chelsea Pier to the sailboat and the live jazz (at sunset no less) was a bonus!! The first round of drinks is included in the price!!! Loading of the boat is by section, so there is no need for long lineups, and everything went as smooth as silk. Pro tip - You do need a windbreaker as it does get cool on the water. Highly recommend even for 2nd or 3rd time visitors to NYC.

Fantastic evening! - Beautiful schooner. Wonderful staff. Just a lovely experience overall. The jazz band was fantastic, the wine was delicious and the views of NYC were just delightful. Being on the Hudson River in a beautiful schooner is such a treat. Well worth it!

Wonderful anniversary celebration! - We enjoyed the city lights sail with jazz to celebrate our anniversary. The cruise was on the Americana 2.0, a large sailboat/schooner. The crew was amazing, the views were spectacular. We upgraded and purchased a whole bottle of champagne to celebrate. (one drink free comes with reservation). Note that all guests are above board for this cruise, and everyone has an assigned seating area (at least now during Covid). There were about 30ish people on board. It was a special evening!

Fantastic - Boat is exactly as pictured: All open air seating. Not a bad view anywhere on board. Professional crew. Left on time - returned on time. I always felt safe. Atmosphere was classy - NOT a loud, drinking, party vibe. Ample time to get pictures at the places we stopped to see. Captain turns off engine and band stops playing so you can quietly take in the statue of liberty. I would take this tour again. Highly recommend!!

Superb experience - We had some fog and showers during the trip, but experience was great from the start till the end. Captain was great, staff was great, band was superb, platters were good and the boat is in a great shape. 5/5

Beautiful Night - The day had started out rainy, foggy, and cold. We were prepared to have no views that night on our cruise. It did clear up just in time for our departure, but it would have been a good cruise anyway. The band was fun and entertaining. The Statue of liberty was beautiful at night. She even cast a great silhouette in the sky. My main concern was getting back to the city that late from the area of the pier. It was easy and the staff very helpful.

All That Jazz - Captain, band & staff were amazing!!! Was disappointed we didn’t go by Lady Liberty. I would recommended this to anyone and I’ll defiantly do it again. Wish they sold wine. Iverall it was a great night.
