Welcome to the Met! The meeting point is the Egyptian statue in the museum’s main lobby at the specified time, where the guided tour of this iconic cultural institution will commence.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, home to over two million artworks spanning 5,000 years, offers an extensive journey through the history of global art. During the guided tour, the most significant pieces that contribute to the museum’s world-renowned status will be explored.

The journey begins in the Egyptian Galleries, where the Temple of Dendur, dating back to 10 BCE, will be admired. From there, the tour will proceed to the American Wing to view historic pieces like “Washington Crossing the Delaware.”

Following this, the tour will traverse through Europe to appreciate masterpieces by renowned artists such as Vermeer, Rembrandt, Monet, Van Gogh, and Degas. Here, the art movements of Baroque and Impressionism will be explored to gain a deeper understanding of their significance.
