Inspiring, innovative and immersive - Amazing experience!! Not a run of the mill NY experience - but an amazing change of pace from the vibrant city. Technologically mind blowing and innovative.

Would recommend - Went with my 15 year old daughter and we both enjoyed it immensely Can stay as long as you like in each of the rooms The ball pit was fun and creating our own 3 d shapes was amusing Def something fun to do on a rainy day Plus it’s super handy for Hudson yard shops and sightseeing and the arts centre

one of the best experiences we ever had - Fantastic! What a place, one of the best experiences we ever had in a Museum. All those rooms with different ways to see art, the world, nature, people. Standing, walking or laying don.... I was there with my, 30-ish old, sons and we all had a blast. What they do with light and mirrors and more is great. Just go there :-)

Absolutely horrendous - Absolutely dreadful experience filled with ai slop that must've taken 3 minutes at most to "make". Really shows us how gopping the future of art is. I'm sorry to have given up my own hard earned money to experience such an artistic tragedy.

Abusive unprofessional staff, unbelievable actually - We visited Mercer Labs on December 23 with hopes for a fun experience during our Xmas holiday trip to NYC. Unfortunately, the extremely unprofessional and hostile behavior of the staff completely ruined the day and left a lasting negative impact on my 12 year old daughter. From the start, the front desk and docent staff were disinterested and barely communicative, mumbling instructions and disappearing quickly. The layout is confusing with poor signage, and we accidentally wandered into the gift shop area while trying to find the next exhibit. When I politely asked the girl in the gift shop for directions back to the exhibits, the “security guard immediately berated me in a loud, aggressive, and condescending tone — treating us like criminals rather than paying guests who were simply lost. His demeanor was so harsh and intimidating that my 12-year-old daughter became visibly upset and left the museum immediately. Outside in the rain, she broke down crying. Shockingly, the same guard followed us out onto the street and said we come back inside (presumably after other staff questioned his behavior). By that point, we were both too shaken to return. He continued speaking to us in the same prison-guard-like tone that had upset us in the first place. This was not just rude service — it was outright hostile treatment of a child and her parent. For a $100+ ticket, we expected a family friendly environment, not to be yelled at and traumatized. The exhibits could not possibly make up for this experience. This single interaction with the security guard ruined what was supposed to be a special father-daughter day in New York City and caused real emotional harm to my daughter for days after. Management needs to seriously address staff training and attitude. We will not return and cannot recommend this place to families. In fact I will need to escalate this further. I hope they have security footage, but I would not be surprised, if like other things neglected maintenance (cracked glass, litter, etc), good luck… It’s a disaster, and directly across the street from the 9/11 memorials. Overpriced, untrained unprofessional staff, tired exhibits and deferred maintenance. This place is on its deathbed and they are just squeezing what they can.

One Piece disappointing - We bought the ticket for the One Piece experience. I don't know if the museum is usually different, I hope so because it is definitely not worth the cost of the ticket. I wouldn't do it again at all.
