Interesting walking tour - Very good trip, Dennis is a great host who knows the area and it’s people really well, he brings LAPD, personal and mobster stories to life in a lively, funny and interesting way whilst explaining the events of the area in enough detail to keep you intrigued. Both restaurants were very good and the food provided was topical to the guided walk. Well worth the time and money and highly recommended

A must-do when in NYC! - This tour is fantastic! Dennis was so knowledgeable about the area and the history and had tons of stories to tell…he’s led an interesting life! The restaurants and food were also incredible along the way culminating in amazing cannoli in Little Italy! Highly recommend this tour for everyone. Brilliant!

Not very many sights - There really weren't many places to see on the tour. I expected a lot more places, and a lot more stories. I enjoyed the eggplant parmiagana at Benito's and getting to see Little Italy.

Very good tour, especially if you’re already familiar with the history of the mob. - Our guide, Dennis, had intimate acquaintance with the neighborhood, and its people, including many people connected with the mafia. As such, he provided an insider’s view which greatly enhanced the quality of the narration. However, the tour assumes that you pretty much have seen all the mafia movies and are familiar with the various crime families. I think it would’ve been helpful to do a bit more education on the history of the mob and the background of the various families. The food at the stops was excellent. The headphones help immensely, even if they do take away a bit of the intimacy of the tour. The tour group size is quite large (around 30 people) but there was still the opportunity to ask questions.

The food was great at... - The food was great at John’s! The cannoli was the best!!! The narrative was interesting, but it was way too long. It was overpriced for what it was, not including any drinks - except water. I ended up paying for sodas at both eating locations.
