• Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum - The Intrepid Museum is hosting complimentary public viewing events for over 50 World Cup matches on Pier 86, offering an exciting and distinctive atmosphere to support your favorite team. Several large screens will be installed across the Pier, with food, drinks, and merchandise available for purchase. Please be aware that while the pier viewings are free, tickets are still necessary for entry into the museum.

Explore the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier, the Space Shuttle Pavilion, and the Growler Submarine, and enjoy an 8-minute film titled ‘The Story of Intrepid’ along with a 15-minute film called ‘Kamikaze: Day of Darkness, Day of Light.’

Commissioned in 1943, the former aircraft carrier USS Intrepid participated in World War II, enduring five kamikaze attacks and a torpedo hit. The ship later took part in the Cold War and the Vietnam War. Intrepid also functioned as a NASA recovery vessel in the 1960s. It was decommissioned in 1974 and is now docked on the Hudson River as the main attraction of the museum.
