- Greenbrook Sanctuary (Membership Required) - Located in Tenafly, this sanctuary marks the end of our journey along the Palisades. It’s a unique preserve, and we’ll hear a bit about its history as we pass by.
- Tenafly Nature Center - Upon leaving the Greenbrook Sanctuary entrance, cross Route 9W, take the first left, and venture into the woods to explore the Tenafly Nature Center, learning about its origins.
- Tenafly - After visiting the Nature Center, walk into the East Hill of Tenafly, descending into the Highwood Park Historic District. Admire the charming homes, including Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s residence, and enjoy lunch at the Classic Diner in downtown Tenafly.
- Guttenberg - On the return journey from the Classic Diner, take a bus along the top of the Palisades in Guttenberg, NJ, offering a fantastic view of Manhattan before heading through the Lincoln Tunnel to the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Participants will stroll alongside the world’s busiest vehicular bridge, which sees over 110 million vehicles annually, and ascend to the Palisades, a cherished natural treasure, to enjoy a walk through the forest.
During the walk, there will be stories shared about the region’s history, including the Palisades, along with some personal anecdotes, as the destination is the guide’s hometown.
