- Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park - Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend a day exploring Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. This natural haven, located just north of Sydney, features rugged sandstone formations, tranquil waterways, and hidden bushland trails, offering the perfect getaway.
The tour begins with a pickup from the CBD, traveling north in a private vehicle. The small group size ensures a relaxed pace. Over 5 to 6 hours (depending on the group), participants will traverse scenic trails through native bushland, pause at lookouts with panoramic views of Pittwater and the Hawkesbury, and watch for wildlife. There is also an opportunity to view Aboriginal rock carvings, highlighting the park’s rich cultural heritage and the longstanding connection between people and the land. These are areas that large buses cannot access.
Midway through the tour, there will be a catered picnic, set in either a shaded bush clearing or on a serene beach. The menu includes local cheeses, dips, olives, falafel, fruit, and kombucha.
- America Bay - America Bay Lookout is a hidden treasure within Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. A short bush trail leads to stunning views over the Hawkesbury River and Cowan Water. The walk passes through native eucalypt forest, sandstone outcrops, and an Aboriginal rock engraving site featuring a spirit figure and kangaroo. The lookout offers a dramatic clifftop view, with deep blue waterways winding through rugged, bush-covered hills. It’s a peaceful, uncrowded spot, perfect for pausing, breathing, and appreciating the tranquility of the landscape.
- Resolute Beach - Resolute Beach is a secluded stretch of golden sand nestled in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, near Palm Beach and Pittwater. Surrounded by bushland and accessible only by foot or boat, it feels like a secret retreat from the city. The calm, clear water is ideal for a refreshing swim after a hike, and the views across Pittwater to Barrenjoey Headland are breathtaking. With its combination of forest, rock platforms, and shoreline, Resolute Beach offers a serene place to relax, eat, or simply sit in silence — a location that feels far removed from Sydney, yet is only an hour’s drive away.
- Mooney Mooney - Visit the Mooney Mooney Oyster Shed to enjoy freshly shucked Sydney Rock Oysters right by the water. For those who prefer other options, there are additional local seafood choices available. Please note that seafood tastings are optional and not included in the tour price. This stop offers a beautiful local setting to enjoy the view, have a bite, and savor the flavors of the Hawkesbury.
