Setting Sail to the Exumas

The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon as I found myself at the Royal lobby, ready to embark on an adventure that promised to be unlike any other. Our guide provided bags of carrots, and we fed the pigs as they splashed around in the water. They were certainly domesticated, but their spirited nature made for an unforgettable experience. Listening to the guide’s instructions ensured we had the best time, and I couldn’t help but laugh at the pigs’ antics.

After the excitement of Pig Beach, we stopped for lunch at Lorraine’s Cafe, a local gem that served up a delicious Bahamian buffet. The flavors were rich and authentic, a true taste of the islands that left me satisfied and ready for more adventure.

On our way back to Nassau, we made two more stops that perfectly encapsulated the beauty of the Exumas. The first was a secluded sand bar, where the crystal-clear waters and pristine sands created a picture-perfect scene. The second stop was at a deserted beach, where the only footprints were our own. It was a moment of pure tranquility, a chance to soak in the serenity of the surroundings.

As we made our way back to Nassau, I reflected on the day’s adventures.
