Our tour guide Antonio did a wonderful job of sharing with us the history of New Orleans and the significance of the historic cemeteries.
Our tour guide was very knowledgable and helpful. After we told him I was there to research for my book, he was happy to show me a couple of extra places and offered several tips for the rest of the city. Very happy with the experience!
Arthur was amazing.
Arthur provided us a very detailed and exciting story of the history of the cemetery and it’s guests.
We had the best experience with Wanda. She was so knowledgeable and funny and very genuinely invested in the history of this beautiful place. We overheard other tours while we were there that sounded rehearsed and kind of cheesy, but our experience with Wanda felt authentic and personal. We would totally do this again and recommend it to others.
Fran was a very knowledgeable and fun guide to listen to.
Ended up being the only 2 people on this tour. It was great! Our tour guide, Arthur, was very knowledgable about the history of New Orleans as a whole. It was fascinating hearing the stories of the background on the cemetery and the burial traditions. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone.
The guide was entertaining, knowledgeable, and clearly enjoys doing this
Our tour guide (I believe her name was Wanda Payne) was very knowledgeable and articulate. She knew a lot of history and gave us the facts, but was also funny and kept things moving. It was a long tour--more than the one and one-half hours promised. Which was fine, given the cool temperatures that day. The fact that the money goes to preserve the cemeteries makes this a bargain.
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and flexible, catering to her audience and answering our many questions
Finding where to wait for guide was tricky. Guide herself, Annette, was knowledgeable but boring. She would forget what she was talking about in the middle oh her stories. I would like to have seen more of the cemetery, instead just a select few mausoleums. Basically, she lacked any kind of charisma. I was glad that my fees will go to help restorations.
We had Dana Criswell as our tour guide, and she was berry knowledgeable. There is the scripted tour stops and information but even when asked questions she would answer to her fullest knowledge. She had a binder with maps and extra information, and though it is very informational which can sometimes lose peoples attention, she told good stories to keep our group attentive and engaged. We came in without a lot of knowledge in this area but definitely gained a lot by the time we left.
Very informative tour, however, we booked it through www.visitacity.com and the information about where to meet the tour guide is outdated, so we missed 10 minutes of the tour. Make sure you check the details so you don't miss out on a fabulous tour. Nancy is a very knowledgeable tour guide.
Very informative tour! This is a great way to learn about the city that is so rich in history and tradition!
Emma was great! It was an interesting and informative tour. While we were walking through the cemetery, we ran into another woman from Save Or Cemeteries who was doing restoration work on a tomb.
I greatly enjoyed the tour of the cemetery, and felt I learned so much, not only about the cemetery itself, but about the history of New Orleans. In essence, the cemetery is it's history, after all. Our tour guide was very informative, and had interesting side stories to go with all of the history. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in the unique cemeteries of New Orleans, but most especially about the history and lore of the city.
Our guide, Larry, was very informative. We really enjoyed all the historical details that he provided. He was patient and thorough even though the weather was not the best.
Annette was really great - funny, informative, thorough. I'm glad that our ticket price helps restore this fascinating bit of New Orleans' history.
Our tour guide was personable and a fount of knowledge.
We thought the tour was very good. Our guide was extremely well-versed and gave a perfect balance of information and humor. Afterwards we all commented on how much we enjoyed the experience.
Jeanne was very knowledgeable and interesting during our tour. We feel she fully explained each stop and answered our questions. She was entertaining and would highly recommend her!
We were guided by Arthur Smith who was both extremely knowledgeable and at the same time entertaining. Definitely to be recommended!
Our tour guide, Michael, was very good - informative, knowledgable, good sense of humor, told us just enough (and not too much if you know what I mean!). Also answered all questions from the group with his expertise. A highlight of our brief trip!
Great tour of the cities most notable landmarks and also locations where horrific incidents have occurred. The guide was very informative of the events that occurred in these areas and was able to separate facts from fiction. There is one break to use the restroom or grab a drink. Loved the tour and would recommend booking a tour if you are in the area.
