Got a tour of the district that gave me a good start to exploring the neighborhood. Lots of interesting tidbits about history. Kudos to our guide in that it was a bitter cold day and he kept us moving.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided a good mix of historical and architectural information and pop culture references. The pacing was good.
Knowledgeable and courteous!
Great tour and tour guide!
Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We learned much that day.
Tour guide was fun and very very informative. Not only did he speak on the landmarks, his excitement discussing New Orleans history (and Louis Armstrong) was infectious. Would definitely book again.
The tour guide, Claudine, was amazing and knowledgeable, made the tour fun and well worth taking. Would recommend it to all. Thank you!
The tour was great, but I thought it was too large of a group. Perhaps max number of people should be around 10 to 15.
This was the perfect mix of history, popular culture, politics and more. Our guide, David, was great about answering questions both tour related and New Orleans tourism related. We liked him so much we did another tour in the French Quarter with him on the same trip.
Our guide, Tim, was very knowledgeable and professional. He was very articulate in explaining things. Overall- a great tour.
Very insightful and informative tour
The tour guide was very informative and interactive. Very authentic!
Tour guide was great and the history was beautiful
Our guide was very friendly and informative.
Our tour guide David did a superb job of blending all kinds of information about the Garden District and New Orleans into one thoroughly entertaining and illuminating walk. I would definitely return for another tour, and would ask for David!
the guide had lots of interesting information. He was mindful of stopping us in the sun, as it was cool out. He has a good sense of humor and knows his material.
The tour we took with Frank was really informative. There were only a few of us which allowed us all to hear every word. It was the perfect balance of seeing a bunch, and not walking too much. Frank was a wealth of knowledge, especially for we who had never been to New Orleans.
While our guide was well informed, I felt she lacked particular architectural knowledge. While it's interesting to know what celebrities occupy the area, it's the architecture that makes the area so interesting. In some cases, she had to profess that she didn't know when I asked questions pertaining to architectural styles and methods. Also, another tour group went by and the guide was describing the plant types. Both my wife and I commented to each other how this information would've been interesting to include in the tour. After all, it is called the Garden District.
Dave our guide did a fabulous job
Our guide, Leo Collins, was really informative and passionate about the area. It was easy to hear everything he said, even with a group of around 20 people. A great way to see the area, and learn about the history. We’d definitely recommend it to others.
Dave Thomas our guide was terrific
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and encouraged questions with a great attitude.
The tour guide was friendly, seemed to know his history well (no "umms" or pauses as if trying to remember things), and moved at a good pace for the group. Only improvement I can think of is he could have spoken a bit louder.
Less sensational/ridiculous and more factual than other tours I’ve been on in the city. Very good guide.
Knowledgeable and friendly guide, very interesting tour. Although I've been to NOLA before, I had not toured a cemetery. Learning about how the burials work was fascinating.
Guide was knowledgeable and friendly; small group size. Enjoyed very much!
Excellent tour! Can't say enough wonderful things about Mr. Curry..excellent guide and such an amazing walk thru the history of the city of New Orleans, the magnificent homes and gardens and even the cemetery! Highly recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans. I had lived in New Orleans as a young adult and learned things that I never knew...a truly fascinating city!
It was so informative and our tour guide was amazing! Didn’t feel like we walked for over two hours at all! I loved hearing about the history as well as the personal anecdotes he had.
My guide was very informative and provided additional suggestions after the tour...which I appreciated. This was my first visit to the Garden District, so I'm glad that I took the walking tour because I would have missed a lot, if I'd walked around on my own.
I learned a lot about the city of New Orleans and the lovely houses in the garden district. Additionally I learned so much about the cemeteries. Anita was so informative as well as funny.
