Our tour guide was extremely accommodating. She gave my son additional information since we were there for a school project.
Our guide was very knowledgeable. Great experience!
We had been recommended to visit and when we did get there we were greeted by wonderful staff in the booking office. Fran our guide was fabulous and very informed and engaged he involved us in every aspect of the tour. Whilst the tour of the Plantation House was lovely we do feel that more could have been explained and explored about the workers at the Plantation. Without the work force of slaves the Plantation would not have been prosperous.
our tour guide was very knowledgeable and interesting historic facts, infact the tour was better than Oak Alley Plantation and more interesting! Great day at Destrehan Plantation where we learned so much about the Lousisiana past!
My first visit to a plantation. The guide was knowledgeable and shared the history of the plantation and information related to that time period in history. Aside from being a documented plantation, they also have a historical document (with a water mark) signed by two Presidents.
Destrehan is a unique plantation, not only visually, but in the history of Louisiana. Beverly was a fantastic guide and very patient with our many questions.
Our guide was informative and answered all our questions
Thoroughly enjoyed our. Very informative. Enjoyable stafft
Very personal and relaxed, good details, answered questions easily. Allowed us time to look, unrushed.
Informative tour and great blacksmith.
Beverly our tour guide is very knowledgeable and explained lots of things. The forge demonstration by Mr Aubrey was very interesting too. I learnt a lot.

Our tour guide, Beverly, was fabulous. She gave us lots of information in a fun, creative way. I appreciated the fact she took her time and shared as much information as she could. Thanks!

Guide Frank was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.
Excellent thorough history of the plantation life of the period, including the life of slaves.
The plantation was lovely. Tour guide was knowledgeable & entertaining.
Tour guide Candace was fun, knew a lot, answered our questions adequately.
Beautiful place and a very informing tour. Frank was out guide and he was marvelous. Loved it.
Frank was a wonderful guide for the tour. His knowledge and presentation was outstanding. The grounds was so beautiful the weather amazing on May 9th when we visited. Thank you for the glimpse into history.
Excellent tour and discussion on the history of the plantation and the area.
The friendly and informative staff
Really excellent tour. Our guide was wonderful, informative, interactive, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and best of all for us-great with our 6 and 8 year old boys. She kept them engaged and interested through the entire tour. The plantation is really an historic jewel that truly breathes life into history and makes it real for us. Huzzah!
Tour guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. All workers were engaging.
Tour was very informative and entertaining. Loved that the home has original pieces. Close to New Orleans and very easy to get to.
I found it all very interesting, the place was beautiful, the display was neat. I would have wanted to see and hear more about the life of the slaves on the plantation. I found the family history of the owners of the plantation less interesting, but the connections to the historical events and social history extremely interesting. The guide could have shown more expertese in history. Everyone was very kind and willing to answer to questions, which I thought was very nice and made me feel welcome, right from the moment I stepped in the store. All the best!
It was awesome!!
Our tour guide, Jane was very knowledgeable and friendly and provided us with numerous facts about the plantation as well as the history of Louisiana. I highly recommend her and this tour to anyone planning to visit the area.
Enelyn was our guide and she did an excellent job. My wife and I signed up for the first tour of the day and ended up having a private tour with her. She took her time and gave us a very personalized tour.
Everyone was very friendly. It's a shame we couldn't sample the cornbread though.
My tour guide was amazing!!! Really friendly and full of knowledge
