The Swamp and Citywide Driving Tour Combination
This tour is designed for the visitor who wants to see a combination of nature and the city in one day. The first segment of the tour takes you on a 50 mile tour throughout the city visiting historic neighborhoods and sites.Segment two offers an up-close view of a Louisiana swamp with alligators, turtles, swamp birds and other creatures. The boat's captain serves as your pilot and guide within the swamp, introducing you to the wildlife just 30 minutes from New Orleans.

This tour is a typical citywide driving tour that covers about 50 miles within the city limits and visits many historic neighborhoods and sites but focuses on the state of storm protection prior to the hurricane, what happened during the storm and what has been done to better protect the city and its citizens since the storm.

This tour will visit two plantations. The drive to and from each plantation will be narrated and a docent-led tour at each plantation will be conducted. Time will be allotted to visit each plantation gift shop and participate in any craftsmen demonstrations that may be offered the day of your tour.
