History, not Hokey - Our guide (Matthew, I believe, I'm embarrassed that I don't remember) was literally a walking encyclopedia of all things voodoo but also all things history based in NOLA. We felt lucky to have him for this tour. He provides a non- judgmental space for learning & asking questions. We learned so much. This was exactly what I wanted, no hokey outfits or acting, just history. Thank you so much!

The real story about Voodoo - Sandy was a fantastic guide, and so knowledgeable! I really felt like I understood the progression of voodoo practice from west Africa to the states. She also dispelled some popular culture myths or errors in the perception of voodoo. The tour was a comfortable walking distance through Congo Square and into the Quarter. Would absolutely book with Tour by Foot again.

Best tour ever! - I had an incredible tour with High Priest Robi! I went on a tour with him back in 2018 and it was great to do another tour with him - this time I brought my whole birthday party of 40 people. High Priest Robi has a wealth of knowledge and reminds us of the kindness in our world! It's a MUST if you are in New Orleans!!

You wanna learn something, do this! - My tour guide Matthew really knew his stuff - it was like a crash course in not just Voodoo but the whole city. I got context for so much. It's definitely a different sort of walking tour - we went to about 3 locations and stayed at each for a while - but no complaints from me, definitely best tour I went on this trip (and I went on like, 6 tours)

Transformative Experience with High Priest Robi - My spouse and I began our trip to New Orleans with his blessing, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! This tour was interesting, engaging, and unforgettable. As a Black woman with Southern roots, learning the true history and nature of Vodou felt deeply healing and empowering. Robi teaches with such love, respect, and authenticity. What he’s doing is courageous and radical! I’ll carry these lessons with me for life.
