Essential new orleans experiences - Had such a great day, I really recommend this company and this tour. The kayaking was so beautiful and we saw some amazing wildlife (alligators, turtles, many egrets and herons, a hawk!). Early in the morning was very peaceful. The lunch stop at freniers landing was also very nice and in a beautiful spot. Whitney plantation was fascinating and humbling. They did a great job of presenting the impact of slavery in this area. Many many thanks to Stephanie for taking the tour ans sharing your knowledge!

Don't miss it!! - My partner and I did the combo kayak and plantation tour. Nick and Stephanie were a great team, they led us through the swamp with ease. They have a great knowledge of the environment and wildlife and their love for what they do made it a super enjoyable experience! It was my first time in a kayak but I felt completely comfortable. We had some sunshine and some rain on the bayou, both equally beautiful, and saw some beautiful birds, mammals and flowers. 10/10 After the kayak tour Stephanie took us to a great local lunch spot and on to the Whitney plantation. She shared loads of history and recommendations for the rest of our trip and not only is she a great guide, she's great company too. We had a fantastic day and would highly recommend this tour!

Great! - We happened to be the only ones who signed up for the tour, and they still ran it. Ali was fantastic. Communication was clear and quick, she was friendly and easy to talk to, it was comfortable to kayak together and share a great meal afterwards. She was knowledgeable, sharing insights from both local and visitor perspectives, and clearly inspired by the beautiful natural surroundings of the bayou! We saw a lot of great wildlife and felt as though we made a new friend.

Three kinds of fun! - Stephanie was awesome: Personable, competent and considerate. We did the combo kayaking + plantation tour with lunch. The scenery was beautiful and the Barred Owl we saw was Magestic. Stephanie gave some great insights into the Bayou and it was clear she was in her element. Lunch was delicious, but Do Not drink the tap water. (Ugh!). The plantation visit, told from the view of the enslaved people, was shocking and humbling but well worth the emotional discomfort. One note: the trip advisor site is NOT correct. It says the tour begins at 0800 and the meeting instructions say to arrive 1h 15 min before the tour starts. This is incorrect!!! (If you happen to show up at 0645, as we did, the Voodoo Lounge is open 24/7 and has fun people and interesting drinks.) Be at the meeting place at 0745. Enjoy!

Great nature, with many animals! - Our German voucher told us to be 1:15 ouer bevore at the pick up place. So we had been waiting for nearby 1 hour to get picked up by the guidee. Our guide Stefanie was very good. Our German discription Said, that a Launch is included. It was not. But at all it is a great nature and the guide was very good!

Great trip into the swamp - Though we were a mixed group - both in ages and experience levels - Chelsea made it all come together very nicely. We really enjoyed our trip into the swamp - lots of alligators (but small enough to not be threatening).

Great combo tour! - Both tours were awesome. Chelsea was a fantastic guide. The kayaks were a perfect way to get into the woods and close to the gators. We saw quite a few on our trip. The plantation tour was quite special. This tour was fairly deep dive into the slave trade and the way of life on the plantation for those who lived and worked there. Extremely well presented.

Swamps the slow way - I had booked the combo tour but I was the only person who wanted the combo so they arranged for me to join a kayak only tour. I almost didn't do it and went with a different combo tour on an airboat but I'm glad I did the kayak tour. We went out with Nick and his love for the swamp and wildlife was evident. He spotted animals I would never have seen such as a nesting barred owl, a turtle and gators. I would definitely recommend this trip to see nature in a way I have never seen it before.
