See above - Very accommodating, Dad is mobility impaired and they made it work perfectly, highly recommended. Tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining

Great Experience - I had a great experience booking through Viator! The booking process was easy and straightforward, and everything was well organized from start to finish. The carriage ride was a... - The carriage ride was a great way for my elderly uncle to see the French Quarter without having to do a lot of walking. Our tour guide, John was very knowledgeable and had plenty of recommendations for things to do afterwards 10/10 would recommend!

Great Experience: Royal Horse Carriage - Jonathan was our guide he was very knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans. The horse carriage ride was a great experience! I would definitely recommend this to any new visitors to New Orleans.

You got to do this tour - If there's one thing you do in New Orleans, you need to go on this tour. The guides are very very knowledgeable in the tour was fantastic. Also the mules are fun!

Excellent experience - There were four of us ladies that did the Carriage rides in New Orleans. We loved the experience and our guide was so perfect. He was educational, so informative of the area and humorous, which was nice. The only issue we had is we did not know where to go to get on the Carriage Ride. But our Carriage driver called us and came to where we were at and picked us up so we were elated!!!

Highly disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend it. - I made a reservation for a 60 minute tour and we MAY have had a 40 minute tour, but it was likely less than that. The check-in instruction was to see the manager under the yellow umbrella at the front of the line of carriages. There was no yellow umbrella, there was no manager. I had to ask the driver of the first carriage in line where to check-in. He told me to go to a carriage near the end of the line, where a driver was waving and shouting out. The carriages are not easy to get into, but my 84 year old mother was a trooper and made it into the carriage with no assistance from the driver. No offer of assistance from the driver. The driver did give some interesting information during the tour, but must of the time, she was speaking with her back to us, so my mother heard none of what the driver said. When we went to get off the carriage - again - not an easy task, no assistance was offered. My mother tried sliding down the carriage while facing forward, and just before her feet hit the ground (into a puddle where the carriage stopped) the mule decided it was time to move forward. My Mom had black wagon wheel marks up the back of her white shirt and pants, but luckily was un-injured. This was the worst thing we spent money on while in New Orleans. I wouldn’t recommend it.

AWFUL experience - My husband and I had used Royal Carriages several years ago and had a wonderful, memorable experience, so when we were planning a trip to New Orleans with 6 of our friends, we rushed to book a tour with them again. Unfortunately we had an entirely different experience this time around. We showed up 15 minutes prior, as instructed, and our tour guide was not there. She causally strolled up to us a couple minutes before our tour, guzzling a very large iced coffee out of a straw. We would get to see her slurping away at this enormous drink for the entire tour, often stopping mid sentence to alleviate her unquenchable thirst. We learned very little about the French Quarter, but instead we got to hear about her current boyfriend, her ex boyfriend, her child, how she’s often told she’s too pretty to be a tour operator, and her favorite restaurants. My husband, seeing the pure boredom from our friends, would ask questions we learned from the tour years back in an effort to redirect her and offer some sort of history or fun facts about what we were seeing. She reciprocated my husbands efforts to save this horrific tour by having to watch her send multiple texts to a person she called her “co-parent”. Meanwhile Norma Jean, the horse, was obviously exhausted and would completely stop even when prompted. We sat in the middle of the street with cars honking because the poor animal would not move. Our one hour tour ended at 45 minutes- the first carriage to arrive back. I learned more about this woman’s personal life than the history of New Orleans. A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.
