A 75-minute, fully guided experience led by knowledgeable, passionate interpreters. It also includes the Big House, gardens and original 1840s slave cabins, inhabited by descendants of enslaved West-Africans until 1977. Behind the scenes curated group visits of the new exhibit From the Big House to the Quarters: Slavery on Laura Plantation delve into the subjects of slavery research and women in Créole Louisiana.

- Oak Alley Plantation - This historic site is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history its inhabitants left behind. With an emphasis on its time as a working sugarcane plantation and view the iconic Allee of Oak Trees.
- Lake Pontchartrain - To close out the day, you will take a 45-minute ride back to the city on the Bonnet Carre Spillway Bridge overlooking Lake Pontchartrain before heading back to your hotel.

Awesome tour, even better tour guide! - We really enjoyed the Laura Plantation Half-Day Tour from New Orleans! Our tour guide, Kindrell, was amazing—very knowledgeable, engaging, and thoughtful in how he shared the history. He made the experience both educational and meaningful, and you could tell he truly cares about the stories being told. Highly recommend this tour, and especially Kindrell, if you’re visiting the area!

Awesome Trip and Tour! - We had a fantastic experience on the Laura Plantation Half-Day Tour from New Orleans, and a big part of that was our tour guide, Kindrell. From the moment we arrived, Kindrell was engaging, knowledgeable, and incredibly respectful in how he shared the history of the plantation. He brought the stories to life with clear explanations, thoughtful context, and a genuine passion for the subject matter.
Kindrell did an excellent job balancing historical facts with storytelling, making the tour both educational and meaningful. He was approachable, answered questions thoroughly, and made sure everyone felt included throughout the experience. This tour gave us a deeper understanding and appreciation of Louisiana’s history, and Kindrell’s professionalism and insight truly elevated the entire visit.
I would highly recommend this tour—and especially Kindrell—to anyone visiting from New Orleans and looking for an informative and impactful plantation experience.

Kin was an engaging and knowledgeable guide who made the trip both fun and informative - Kin was an excellent guide who kept our group of ten engaged throughout the trip. His commentary on the region’s history during the drive to and from the plantation was both informative and enjoyable.

Gained an understanding of the post-emancipation period of repression n - Our guide at the plantation made this a memorable and thought-provoking tour. I learned so much and was truly appreciative of the deeper understanding of the struggles of former slaves who had no choice but to remain in an exploitative system of repression.

Ken was one of the most... - Ken was one of the most knowledgeable, well researched, and hospitable tour guides. He made sure we saw everything we wanted and things we didn't know we wanted. Ken's personality and facts made the experience memorable. The Laura plantation guides handled the tour with respect and knowledge. Ken's additional knowledge made the trip extra worth it, giving his insight and perspective along the way.

Absolutely Perfect - Kindrell, our host, was really awesome. Everything was perfect.
He takes care of you, drives safely, knows absolutely everything on Louisiana. He can also give you a lot of precious advices (restaurants, things to do…).

Take this guide! - If you are looking to do a Plantation tour you must book it with this company. The owner of this company was also our guide so he made sure to make this a memorable experience. Kin did not disappoint. From the moment he picked us up in the luxury van until he dropped us off at our hotel it was an unforgettable experience. Kin is so knowledgeable in all aspects of the tour. He was funny and engaging and offered so much information. I can’t recommend this guide enough and it is a bonus that it is a small group tour, so much better than the big vans or buses.
