Additional Information

This excursion is specifically planned to guide guests through the historical journey of slavery, starting from centuries-old origins to its presence in Louisiana in the 17th and 18th centuries. The tour sheds light on the diverse forms of slavery, its human and economic toll, and the movements that fought for its abolition.

Two narrative sections fill up the tour; one happens during transit whereas the second is at the plantation site. We address the manner in which the slave trade powered a global economy integral to the Industrial Revolution.

While the tour is a private experience, it isn’t exclusive. Therefore, there may be occasions where you’ll share indoor experiences with other groups. However, during transit and while inspecting the outdoor areas, your group will enjoy a personal tour focused on the history of slavery.
