Being a Tourist Who Loves History - John was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining and engaging! He prepped all before starting (get water!) and made sure everyone was aware of what was expected (from the guide and the guidees) before we got started. Absolutely appreciate how he acknowledged Ma. Laveau as the incredible woman she was. John was factual. He acknowledged lore and mythology about the area/people, yet kept a healthy sense of skepticism about them. Absolutely recommend!!

Ricardo the great with side kick wolfy - Experience- information was informative to consider against current ideas Admission fee- $32 more of that needs to go to the tour guides. Length/ was good. Not Worth Your money - Traveled with my fiancé and another couple who are our best friends. Literally the worst tour I have ever taken or experienced from this app. I have been using the VIATOR app for many years for several different excursions around the country and never been disappointed until this one. Very boring, The tour guy did not seem very excited and very monotone. We were able to stop one place during mid tour for cocktails and we were sent into one of two different places and then just come back and meet with your crowd. I feel like there was some history shared, but did not seem super knowledgeable. Definitely a thumbs down. I would rate it one star if that and I would suggest you doing something else!

Read the 1 Star reviews before purchasing- don't waste your money. - Reader's Digest version of details below: Please save your money. Read the one-star reviews and, more importantly, read the company's responses to them. Those responses tell you almost as much about the customer experience as the tour itself. This tour was an absolute rip-off. For two people, after taxes and fees, the total was nearly $100—and for that price, I expected a 'Ghost, Crime, Voodoo, and Vampire' story telling experience, as stated in the name of the tour. What I got was the following: 1) The French Quarter is full of rich history (the good, bad, and ugly, but there is a lot of history here). The tour guide focused on discussions about her personal ADHD, dyslexia and anxieties (mentioned several times) during the tour. I paid for a ghost, crime, voodoo, and vampire tour, not a personal lecture or a showcase for the tour guides' personal agendas and anxieties. 2) HELLVISION™, which costs extra and was vaguely explained as a 'VIP tour to add HELLVISION™ digital projection of real images', amounted to a handheld projector displaying Googled images on buildings that looked worse than a 4th grade PowerPoint presentation. Charging an additional $12pp fee for this was insulting given how it added zero value to the tour. 3) I trusted the 4.8/5 review, which is why I gave this tour a chance. I'll trust that there were wonderful tour guides in other walking tours. However, I strongly recommend reading the company's responses to its one-star reviews before spending your money, and you will get an idea of what you're dealing with. The complaints made by other one-star reviewers happened to mirror my experience. Rather than responding professionally and acknowledging legitimate customer concerns, the company's responses sounded unprofessional, came across as hostile, sarcastic, condescending, and personally directed at the customers who paid for the experience. Some responses reportedly go so far as to question reviewers' intelligence. Always the customer's fault, with zero accountability for their actions and how they represent the 'company'. They attack the customer, blame the customer, or become defensive rather than just simply address what went wrong. Examples include comments such as: "Liz: We seem to have a problem here. And the problem is this: You think you know more than you do...boy oh boy, do you have a lot to learn... Let’s start with...a SAG-AFTRA member who has more credits to his name than you have IQ points..." "Are you sure you were old enough to even take this tour???? I can’t imagine anyone grown who doesn’t understand basic economics..." "Hi Carrie, We love guests like you. You know, the ones that make it so easy for us to refute it's like a little gift you bestow upon us." "YOU ruined your night, by being a jerk. Your group was not "collectively" turned off and bored, unless of course you detected that your mere presence was enough to make others miserable." "...just because she didn't suck up to you and kiss your butt the way you believed she should have, doesn't mean that she deserved this level of wrath from some washed up attorney stuck working in corporate law... For future experiences, we recommend you take your own advice and "ditch the attitude." " Best of luck navigating the rest of your life when you don't bother to understand what you got yourself into before getting into it!" 4) They consistently reference reviewing body-camera footage in their responses. If footage is being invoked to dispute a customer's account, then actually addressing the specific allegation would be far more professional than merely saying footage was reviewed, denying the claim, and leaving it at that. Otherwise, it's a convenient way to dismiss criticism without addressing the problem. 5) Any business should be able to accept criticism without throwing a tantrum at the people who provided the revenue that keeps it operating. If multiple customers independently describe similar problems, perhaps the answer isn't to insult those customers, but rather to examine the experience and improve it.

Waste of time and money - The worst tour we have ever been on. Leave your medical conditions and personal politics out of a tour as it’s very unprofessional.. The tour seemed like a production to amuse yourselves. Very disappointing. We should have seen the red flags in other reviews.
