It was a great tour, I'd recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans. Our guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable about the real history behind the legends and it was an approach that both my husband and I appreciated. The next time we visit we'll have to see what other tours are available.

We recently joined a tour in New Orleans that was advertised as a Voodoo Tour, but the description also mentioned vampires, ghosts, and other supernatural themes. Because of that, we booked it expecting a mix of all those topics, not just voodoo. When we arrived, however, the guide only talked about voodoo during the entire tour. We stayed hoping that at some point they would include the ghosts and vampire stories mentioned in the description, but that never happened. By the end, we realized it was only about voodoo, which was disappointing and not what we paid for. After the tour, we went back to the shop to let them know about the misleading description and asked if something could be done. The employee told us that since we had completed the tour, we couldn’t get a refund. However, when we checked our confirmation email later, it clearly stated that a refund request could be made if we completed the tour — which we did. We called them afterward, but no one responded. On top of that, we felt that the guide didn’t seem very knowledgeable. Some of the information she shared about voodoo was inaccurate — we looked it up later and found several mistakes. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we’re hoping to receive the refund we’re entitled to.

The tour guide spoke too fast and we could only make out every fourth or fifth word and said the word guys at least 300 times with no exaggeration. He told us he was a teacher that would be incredibly hard to follow him in the classroom. In addition, as much as we appreciate his military service, I believe showing our family with teens and our elderly mom his missing eye… not sure what that has to do with voodoo.

There was literally nothing on the tour about voodoo practices. Michael was too focused on just history things. It was not a pleasant experience. I would never recommend this tour .
