Begin the day with a visit to Özkonak Underground City, an ancient marvel carved into the northern slopes of Mt. Idis, located approximately 14 km northeast of Avanos in Nevşehir Province.

Following the exploration of Özkonak, proceed to St. John Church in Gülşehir. This historical rock-carved church in Cappadocia is renowned for having some of the best-preserved frescoes in the region.

After visiting St. John’s Church, head to the Avanos region for lunch and to explore the true wonders of Cappadocia, including its famous pottery and rugs.

The final stop will be Ortahisar village, where you can admire the stunning Ortahisar Castle. Ortahisar is celebrated for its welcoming residents, charming stone houses, narrow streets, and beautiful churches, as well as the castle-like rock formation that gives the town its name.
