• Ozkonak Underground City - Özkonak Underground City is a charming subterranean settlement located near the village of Özkonak, 15 kilometers north of Avanos. Similar to other underground settlements, Özkonak features a water well, ventilation system, wine presses, and rolling stone doors. It houses one of Cappadocia’s largest stone doors, nearly 2 meters tall. The large floor holes near the exit were used for food storage.

This site is also known as Monks Valley, named after some cones carved in tuff stones that stand apart. Currently, a vineyard and several tuff cones are situated right next to the road.
