You will learn about the significance of the “thieves dinner” (kleftiko),the main dish you’re going to prepare (lamb).
Next, you’ll prepare stuffed vegetables and stuffed grape leaves (dolmades).
Then we will learn how to make kalitsounia.We use our rolling pins to roll out the dough for that!
Appetizers are prepared last but enjoyed first. Tzatziki, Ntakos, and Cretan salad.
Time to eat! Enjoy all of the beautiful traditional Cretan dishes you’ve created with copious amounts of local wine.
Be sure to leave room for dessert. Something sweet and seasonal.
Exact location will be emailed after confirmation. For idividual travellers or group less than 4 send me a message to check availability and participate with an other group.Feel free to ask for a discount for a group of more than 10.
Duration is 4-5 hours depends on the number of participants. We can prepare lunch (10:00-14:00) or diner (16:00-20:00)

The Highlight of Our Crete Trip! - This cooking class at Veerna's kitchen was the highlight of our time on Crete. I highly recommend doing this cooking class. Veerna and her brother were so friendly and welcoming. We went in early November just as olive harvest was starting and it was a small group of 4 people at the class. The location and space is beautiful, tucked away and a little outside of the town of Chania. It turned out that we were staying at an Airbnb just 10 minutes walking from the kitchen. The food and drinks, along with the company were absolutely wonderful.

Authentic and fun cooking class - The class more than exceeded our expectations. The setting was beautiful and Veerna was a great teacher with a good sense of humor. The food was super tasty, from appetizers all the way through dessert. Great day - highly recommend.

Great Cooking Class in Chania - We were warmly welcomed by our hostess.
There were detailed explanations of all dishes and also historical information.

Fun Cooking Class in Chania - This class was the highlight of our trip! The hosts were so warm and welcoming and know how to host a fun class. The meal was the cherry on top! Incredible experience.

A wonderful way to prepare and eat an authentic Cretan meal. - This was such a great experience. We joined several other couples to make our own authentic dinner. Our hosts were charming and helpful. We all enjoyed the preparation, making and eating. I would not hesitate to recommend the to anyone interested in delicious food, well made in a great atmosphere.

The best cooking class in Chania! - My husband and I had the BEST experience at Veerna’s cooking class. Everything that we made turned out incredible and we had so much fun preparing it all. Veerna and her family were so welcoming and fun to be around. I would say this is our #1 experience from our time in Crete. Thank you Veerna!

Perfection - Veernas cooking class was amazing. It was so cool to be welcomed into their home like we were family and learn the greek style of cooking. They were all so nice and taught us about their culture for hours. It was my wife and I'd favorite part of our honeymoon by far! The food was to die for and I would go back to that class every week if we could! Thank you so much guys!!!
