07:00 AM - Before embarking on the safari, guests can enjoy a packed breakfast near Wilpattu National Park. Following breakfast, the first half of the safari begins. Although leopards in the park are elusive, their high density makes sightings more likely. The unique “Villu” lake ecosystem within the national park offers an ideal setting to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural environment. Villus are natural rainwater lakes that serve as a crucial water source for the park’s wildlife in this dry zone. They also attract herds of Asian elephants and provide a habitat for various bird species. Notably, the Villus in the park are recognized as a Ramsar wetland of international significance.

01:00 PM - Lunch will be enjoyed within the park.

• Wilpattu Safari Camp - 02:00 PM - The second half of the full-day safari commences. The park is a sanctuary for aquatic sea birds, with its western boundary bordering the Indian Ocean. Additionally, Wilpattu National Park is home to 31 mammal species, including the Sri Lankan sloth bear, water buffalo, spotted deer, ruddy mongoose, mugger crocodile, Bengal monitors, and mouse deer, all of which are considered threatened species.

06:00 PM - After an unforgettable full-day safari, guests will be transported back to their hotel in Negombo.
