As evening falls, take a gentle stroll along the seashore. Watch as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in a glorious palette of orange and pink—a perfect introduction to the tranquil beauty of Sri Lanka.
SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS
Athugala Rock - As you journey inland, you’ll stop at the Kurunegala Rock Viewpoint, where panoramic vistas stretch far across lush green hills and rustic towns. Nearby, the tranquil Kurunegala Lake offers a peaceful moment of reflection before the cultural adventures ahead.
Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - In the golden light of the afternoon, you’ll visit one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmarks, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and marvel of ancient engineering.
Rising majestically from the jungle, this colossal rock once housed the palace of King Kasyapa (477–495 AD). As you ascend its winding stairways, you’ll pass ancient frescoes, water gardens, and the famous Lion’s Gate. At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular sunset views across the forest canopy and rolling plains—a truly unforgettable sight.

Dambulla Cave Temple - After breakfast, visit the magnificent Royal Cave Temple complex in Dambulla, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and a cornerstone of Sri Lankan Buddhism.
This towering rock, rising 160 meters above the plains, shelters five richly decorated cave temples, home to over 150 Buddha statues and intricate ceiling murals that date back more than 2,000 years. It’s the most extensive and best-preserved cave temple complex on the island—a place where silence and devotion echo through stone corridors.
Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - In the afternoon, your journey winds up into the hills toward Kandy, the final stronghold of the Sinhalese kings and a revered site for Buddhists around the world.
Your first stop in Kandy is the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, where a revered tooth of the Buddha is enshrined in a beautifully ornate palace. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this temple is the spiritual heart of the nation—a place of prayer, lotus offerings, and golden tranquility.

Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden - As you ascend into the highlands, the landscape transforms into a patchwork of green—endless rows of tea bushes climbing hillsides beneath blankets of mist. Along the way, you’ll stop at a working Ceylon tea factory, where you’ll witness the delicate art of tea production, from hand-plucking to processing.
End the tour in the most fitting way possible—sipping a warm, fragrant cup of freshly brewed Ceylon tea, right where it was born.
