Ascend the 5th-century AD rock fortress, Sigiriya, once ruled by King Kasyapa. Enter through the lion’s paws, fitting for its name, ‘the Lion Rock.’ Admire the stunning, timeless murals that have made Sigiriya famous. Climb the steep staircase to explore the terraced gardens and functioning cisterns. Wander through the tunnels leading to the palace, experiencing the essence of ancient times.
Afterward, return to the Dambulla Parking Site.
