- Lunuganga Garden Tour - The Lunuganga estate was conceived by the late architect Geoffrey Bawa (23 July 1919 – 27 May 2003). This country home was his initial muse and experimental ground, serving as his retreat as his fame grew over the years. Designed with Bawa’s signature whimsical beauty and eccentric style, the estate is adorned with numerous art pieces and artifacts from across Asia and Europe.
- Madu Ganga Biodiversity Area - This mangrove lagoon, connected to the sea by a narrow canal, comprises 15 islands of varying sizes, some of which are inhabited. It consists of two shallow water bodies, Maduganga and the smaller Randombe Lake, linked by two narrow channels. The islands and shores, with relatively undisturbed mangrove vegetation, boast rich biodiversity, meeting 7 Criteria of International Importance. Many globally and nationally endangered, endemic, and rare species, such as the endemic and endangered plant Shorea affinis, the vulnerable Mugger (Crocodylus palustris) listed in the IUCN Red Book, and the CITES-listed endangered Purple-faced Leaf Monkey (Trachypithecus vetulus), Estuarine Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus), Flapshell Turtle (Lissemys punctata), and Indian Python (Python molurus) find refuge here. The lagoon serves as a breeding, spawning, and nurturing ground for numerous fish species and supports 1.2% of the Little Green Heron biogeographical population.
- Meetiyagoda - Located in southern Sri Lanka, Meetiyagoda is famous for its distinctive moonstone mines. These gleaming semi-precious stones, known for their iridescent glow, are mined here amidst lush greenery. Visitors can observe the traditional extraction methods and purchase exquisite moonstone jewelry, making it a haven for gem enthusiasts.
