- Temple of Demeter - Meet the guide at Naxos Bus Transfer Office, conveniently located just outside Naxos Port, and head straight to the first destination, Demeter’s Temple. Marvel at the beautifully restored sanctuary, capture stunning photos, and explore the small on-site museum. Please note, on Tuesdays and May 1st, the Temple of Demeter is closed, and the tour will instead visit the village of Filoti. Additionally, if a heat wave is predicted, the temple closes early (at noon), and the afternoon tour (departing at 13:00) will visit Filoti village instead of Demeter’s Temple.
- Limpertas Manolis Pottery - Proceed to the delightful village of Damalas, a quaint community of around 100 residents nestled among the olive groves of Tragea. Here, local potter Manolis will warmly welcome visitors into his workshop, demonstrate his traditional wheel techniques, and share the secrets of his craft.
- Chalki - The next stop is Chalki, the island’s former capital and once its main commercial hub. Enjoy approximately 50 minutes of free time to explore its vibrant alleys, shop for unique handmade souvenirs, visit the historic Vallindras Kitron Distillery, or simply relax with a coffee in one of the village’s inviting cafés.
- Monastery Panagia Drossiani - Continue the journey through ancient olive groves to reach Panagia Drosiani, a church with a unique architectural style dedicated to the Virgin Mary, considered one of the oldest in the Balkans! Here, take a brief stop to capture photos and, if the church is open, admire its distinctive frescoes.
- Kinidaros - Just outside the village of Kinidaros, make a brief roadside stop to photograph the impressive modern marble quarries.
- Melanes Kouros Statue - Stroll through the lush gardens of Flerio valley and “meet” the Kouros Statue, a remarkable example of Naxian marble artistry.
- Filoti - On Tuesdays and May 1st, when the Temple of Demeter is closed, the tour will visit Filoti instead! Enjoy free time to explore the village independently. Be sure to visit the main church and the nearby folklore museum, housed in an old traditional home.
