Great value day tour: What to know first - I loved this day tour and would highly recommend! However, some things that are good to know first: - if you getting picked up from Denarau Island hotels, it will be a 3-3.5hr bus trip. We were picked up at 6.30am and returned at 7.30pm - wear shoes that can get wet - take a change of dry clothes - the day is split into wet half / dry half - dry half includes ceremony, lunch, coconut cracking and cultural education and an opportunity for a massage - you don't get to visit villages along the way

A True Jewel of Fiji - Our guide, Nem, was the heart of the experience. His knowledge, humor, and infectious energy made the entire day so much fun. Whether explaining cultural rituals or navigating the jungle trail, he kept us smiling and engaged every step of the way.

Excellent tour! - It was so much more than a waterfall! The village was amazing. We danced and ate a traditional meal. Everyone was friendly. The drive Freddy was excellent and very accommodating.

Amazing adventure all around! - Amazing experience. Driver Malachi was entertaining and knowledgeable. Although a 4 hour drive each way from Denarau, he did an outstanding job of making it a smooth drive. Tour guides at the village, on the boat, and during the waterfall hike were some of the best. They all were fun, friendly, and energetic the entire time. Special shout out to Nem. He was the head tour guide and one of the most positive and friendly individuals you will ever meet. Lastly, really liked the hike to the waterfall. It was fairly quick and not too strenuous. Trails were also very easy to maneuver. Only downside was it was a full 12 hour commitment if being picked up from Denarau hotel area.

Best day and best day trip - My favourite day trip I did in Fiji. Easy pickup arrangement and the driver was very friendly and good energy. The drive is a little long but honestly enjoyable as you get driven through Fiji’s beautiful countryside and see many of the little villages on the way as well as beautiful scenery. The waterfall and the boat ride to it is fun and again very beautiful. The village itself was a great time with delicious food (and plenty of it and plenty of vegetarian choices). The whole team/staff are very friendly and positive energy. Was very interesting to learn about the village itself and the practices they do and you get to see traditional ceremony. Thank you for the best day!

So worth it!!! - Truly wonderful! First of all, hurry and book to have Rem as your guide! He alluded after doing it for over 20 years, he may not have too much longer before he retires and passes the torch. He’s SO energetic, funny, knowledgeable, and entertaining. Everything you want in a guide. He’ll take lots of pics and vids of you, and will get fantastic angles for you. He’s worth the price of the tour just himself. But the tour besides him was great too! The boat up the river is nice, but the sights are amazing. I overheard someone say “the plant life is almost prehistoric”, and I couldn’t agree more. Then the waterfall is worth the journey too. I didn’t swim, but the folks who did seemed like they enjoyed it. Then you float back down the river partially on a bamboo raft which is cool. Lastly, the village and villagers are so cool and welcoming. The food, the singing, dancing, and presentations are what you’re hoping to get from the cultural aspect of the tour. 10/10 would recommend. (The only downside is how long it takes to get there from the Nadi area. It’s like 3 hours each way, but I’d still say it was worth it if you want to go see a good waterfall.)

Very nice day - Great tour. The journey is quite long but worth it. The boat tour offers great impressions. My group consisted of only 8 people, which was really perfect. So the waterfall was not overflowing because only your own group is there anyway. The water was cold but when you're inside you get used to it quickly. The tour guide made a really good video of me in the water. The guide was generally very sympathetic. The time at the waterfall is sufficiently long. On the way back is a small stretch by raft. I presented that with something rounded up. In the village back you can change and get a demonstration about coconut open, build bags out of leaves etc. that was cool to see, also how fast it goes in part or how long other takes. In addition, a person may participate in the kava ceremony associated with cultural dance and singing. The food was ok. Even as a vegetarian you have enough options. The taro coconut side dish did not look particularly appetizing but was very delicious.

Wonderful experience - Was a fantastic tour! So the waterfall was the highlight of our trip. The boat ride through the river was actually fun even though I was originally super nervous. Our guide was fantastic and the cultural aspect and meal were wonderful.

Haven't been picked up - The tour was amazing and well worth it, lots to do, see and experience. Our tour guide was funny and informative. However, the day started on the wrong foot where we have never been picked up from our hotel. Apparently, the driver forgot about us. If it wasn't that kind lady from Rosie tours I think, who questioned us waiting in front of the hotel we probably would have missed on the tour all together. She spared us the time, the effort and made some calls to get this all reorganized for us while she worked for a different tour operator. I wish I got your name to give you a special mention and thank you for your kindness. Otherwise, I would have given the tour full stars. I have to mention it's a 3 hours drive each way from Nadi so I think it would make much more sense if you do it from Suva as it will save your day. Having said this the drive is scenic and you drive through various villages and beautiful sceneries.
