Super easy to find from... - Super easy to find from cruise ship. Had a great time. Loved the pigs and we stopped on way back and saw turtles. Would do this again!

Pigtastic - This tour was the highlight of our trip!! The staff were A+ and the pigs are adorable. They did swim, but if people stay at the shoreline some pigs will stay there. People are supposed to put their waist in water. The people who followed the site had pigs swimming all around them.

Celebrating a big birthday with the piggies! - The staff at the island resort were friendly and helpful. The pigs were delightful. The bartending staff could use some hospitality help, but overall the people throughout the excursion provided a memorable experience.

Touristy but fun - Well organized Pig Beach visit - The boat left 15 minutes late, and the ride to Pig Beach (which is actually part of a resort) took about 45 minutes, so my first impression was a bit mixed. Once there, the experience was well organized. The pigs are kept in a fenced beach area, and groups of about 40 guests relax on sun loungers and hammocks until the interaction begins. Guests receive food for the pigs and line up in the water while the pigs come out to meet them. The guides do a great job keeping the atmosphere fun, encouraging the pigs to interact with guests and taking photos with the guests’ own cameras while you feed them. A very kind touch! After the pig interaction, you still have time to enjoy the very clean and beautiful beach, use kayaks or paddle boards (free of charge), or buy food and drinks at the beach bar. You stay for about two hours before the boat returns. Just be aware that no food or drinks are included in the excursion. Overall, a fun and well-organized experience, even though the start felt a bit slow.

Nice trip - It was a great family trip. I didn't expect the price to be less than 100, much cheaper than other options. But I found the experiences were similar, except that lunch might be different. Perhaps there are other options. Two and a half hours on the island is enough for a tour. Early shifts are recommended.

Better Than I Pictured!! - This excursion turned out better than I thought it would. It was on time, well-planned, plenty of staff to keep things running. It's a beautiful ride out to the island. If you are expecting a 5 star-resort, you will be underwhelmed. But it's a beautiful, more rustic little spot. Food and drinks are avail, and the meeting of the pigs was well-orchestrated. Water and sand here were far-superior to Nassau's free beaches. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and water trampolines. Thumbs up from or our group of teens and adults.

Understand what you are buying. - This was absolutely a 5-star experience, so long as you understood what to expect and importantly, what not to expect. Because this decision took me a long time to figure out for my girls (who REALLY wanted to swim with the pigs), I’ll try to provide clarifying detail for other newbies: 1) You are not “swimming” with pigs. What you are doing is sort of playing with them and feeding them in the shallows of crystal blue water, and some of them are swimming around - mostly splashing about in the shallows. They are cute and fun and hungry, but at this location, you are not enjoying a long and leisurely swim together. My buddy did a more expensive Pearl Island excursion and said it was the same for them. 2) Rose Island: I paid $79/pp for the shorter Rose Island visit vs more expensive excursions to Pearl Island. It took us fully 30 mins in the boat to get from the cruise ships to the island, and it was a beautiful ride. My girls loved it. Once there, the water was clean and beautiful and they enjoyed swimming and jumping on the floating trampolines as much as they did seeing the pigs, maybe more. So I wish we had had more time. 3) The timing and cost: we did the later departure (11:30a instead of 9:30a), and admittedly our time at Rose island was short, maybe an hour once there, including ~30 mins of swimming/paddling and ~30mins with the pigs, including the prep briefing. One of the tour guides said the 11:30a departure is always shorter than the 9:30a, so perhaps keep that in consideration. But with this package, neither one is a “full day.” However, the ad said that and for $79/pp I was not really disappointed. HOWEVER, there were people on the same water taxi as my girls and me going to the same island for the same experience, but they had booked through their cruise lines (I booked via TripAdviser). These people seem to have paid 2x-3x what we paid, and a few of them were vocally angry with the short time at the actual destination. They said they were promised two hours on site, and this was not that. I was thankful we had only paid what we did, and I would have been frustrated, as well, had I paid a lot more for the same thing. 4) Pigs? It is an odd thing marketed heavily but not overly aquatic or tropical in nature. Overall, the location was great and boat ride was enjoyable. The people were nice, and pickup was easy, though they were bit late with the pickup. They gave us a little tour or celebrity homes at the end that my girls loved. The pigs were cute and fun. Worth it? I’m not sure wading with pigs is as epic as my girls thought it would be, but they got the pics they wanted and for the price, compared to exorbitantly overpriced other options, I am glad we did it. Hanging in Nassau the whole day would not have been all that nice. I would try to the earlier departure next time or find a way to stay a bit longer at Rose Island. My girls didn’t want to leave the swimming and paddling. If you have the money, I suspect longer day, or an interaction with actual marine life - like dolphins or even snorkeling - would probably be a more exciting and relevant experience. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Cute encounter - Boat ride was about 20-25 minutes from the port to the island. Cute little island with a place to eat and drink. The food was very good I must say! After your 30 minute encounter with the pigs you can swim and use the complimentary beach games/gear. The pigs are cute but don’t forget they are animals and will poop and pee right on you.
