One of our favorite guides! - Stephen explained the plan for the tour when we met, provided waters, and then took us all over town! He answered so many questions as he told about the history of the city and country. We loved that he gave us recommendations for food to try, talked about the culture here, and was so friendly and personable. Thankful we booked with him and definitely recommend to everyone visiting the area!!

Fun & educational Nassau historical walking tour - My family had a fantastic time at the Historical Walking Tour in Nassau! Stephen was very knowledgeable about the history and background regarding every stop to ensure we got the most of the tour. He checked in on us frequently to make sure we were doing alright. He went out of his way after the tour to show us where to catch the water taxi. I highly recommend this tour with Stephen!

Wanted a historical tour and got more than we could have asked for - Our tour guide was amazing! He was born and raised in the area and knew the ends and outs of everything. Talked us through the stairs, the courts, all kinds of things! Couldn’t have had a better experience

Nassau walking tour - Doreen was great, shared history of the Bahamas intermixed with her humorous perspective. The tour took us through a poor area where we encountered homeless people sleeping in doorways and a pack of wild dogs. It was a bit unsettling. Such a contrast from the luxury of the Atlantis Resort just a few miles away. We walked past Princess Margaret hospital, visited The Queen’s Staircase and Parliament Square. It was an easy walk about an hour’s time

Too much shopping, not enough history - We booked the Nassau Historical Walking Tour while on a cruise stop and were disappointed with how the tour was conducted. A large part of the tour was spent being led into gift shops and stores for shopping. These stops felt forced and took up a substantial amount of time that should have been dedicated to the historical sites. My wife had done a similar historical walking tour in Nassau on a previous cruise and it had zero shopping stops — it was purely focused on the history and sights. This made the difference very noticeable. The low point was at the Queen’s Staircase. When I asked about the square recesses carved into the walls, our guide incorrectly told the group they were natural formations. In reality, they were deliberately carved as memorials to the enslaved Bahamians who built the staircase. This was a missed opportunity to share an important and interesting part of the story. While we did see some of Nassau’s historic areas, the overall experience felt more like a shopping excursion than a proper historical tour. We left knowing less than we expected. I cannot recommend this tour. If you’re looking for a genuine historical walking tour in Nassau, there are clearly better options available.
