One of the best museums in Nashville - I’ve lived in Nashville for a few years, and this museum has long been on my list of places to visit. I’m glad I waited, because living in Music City first helped me better appreciate everything I saw. I’ve learned a lot about Nashville’s music industry by attending local venues and watching documentaries, but this museum was wonderful and taught me even more. I plan to return so I can spend more time with some of the exhibits. As much as I loved the museum, I didn’t notice many exhibits dedicated to the many women who contributed so much to the industry.

We spent about an hour... - We spent about an hour here. If we had been with more people, we may have spent a little more time in the interactive area. Interesting artifacts and information.

Fun will go back - My teenage son and I had the best time. It was fun getting to play different instruments, sing, and learn about the different artists.

Do not miss - Absolutely worth it! I loved this museum. There are many in Nashville, so I wasn't sure where to start. We almost didn't go to this one, but I am so glad we did. A+. Do not miss it.

A “don’t miss” in Nashville - This place is a must visit for musicians, music, historians, or just playing music fans of all genres. While the Country Music Hall of Fame is certainly the big draw, and deservedly so, it’s more about the stars. The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum is about the songs, and the people and equipment behind the big names. Whether country, bluegrass, soul, R&B, psychedelia, metal, or just plain old rock ‘n’ roll, it’s all here. Session musicians like the Wrecking Crew, and the Swampers. Instrument craftsmen like Les Paul. Producers, engineers, and innovators that made the sounds we all love - presented in a way that showcases them all. There are even hands-on areas where you can play instruments , sing, and mix the sounds. I met a friendly (and pretty) lady in the gift shop who was telling me some of the history of the museum - turns out her father was the founder and literally wrote the book on the museum. It sounded like it was truly a labor of love, and is an excellent tribute to the recording industry and all the people who have been a part of making music available to us. I hope to go back again the next time I’m in Nashville, to see anything I may have missed. Don’t miss it!
