The Turn Their Heads instructors will have participants spinning and dancing, even if coordination isn’t their strong suit. Expect to be dancing at the Honky Tonks that very night!

Dance with a partner or be paired with another student if attending solo. No partner is necessary.

Country swing, often confused with the two-step, is a lively country dance featuring spins and dips. It doesn’t require rhythm to look impressive, making it ideal for beginners. This dance can be performed to any music and requires minimal space, making it perfect for bars, weddings, or even your kitchen.

Classes begin with an incredible demonstration featuring spins, dips, and tricks! Participants will be eager to learn the basic steps of this easy and incredibly fun partner dance. If you can walk, you can country swing!

By the middle of the class, participants will have mastered the basic step and will be enjoying country dancing, but the fun doesn’t end there! An additional move will be taught to add flair and variety.

There will be plenty of practice, and participants will receive one-on-one time with instructors if assistance is needed.

This fantastic class is led by country swing dancer Rick Harris and his dedicated team of instructors. Rick is renowned as the pioneer of country swing in Nashville. He was the first to introduce country swing teaching in Nashville and has been instructing and dancing in this style for over twelve years.

Before dedicating himself to dance instruction full-time, Coach Rick trained athletes to achieve peak performance. Beginners appreciate his distinctive teaching techniques, which make learning to dance effortless.

Coach Rick and his team infuse the class with their country humor and engaging style, ensuring a fun experience. Participants will laugh, dance, and be prepared to showcase their new moves at honky tonks, weddings, or even in their kitchens.
