The hiking season runs from July to September. During this period, access to the 5th Station is restricted, and visitors must take a shuttle bus, which costs 2100¥ per person.
- Lake Kawaguchiko - Lake Kawaguchiko is a stunning lake and serves as the gateway to the Fuji Five Lakes area. Visitors can enjoy a ship cruise or take a ropeway cable car up to Kachi Kachi Mountain. On clear days, the lake offers a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji. There is no entrance fee for Lake Kawaguchiko, but activities like the ship cruise and ropeway cable car require separate payments.
- Ensoleille Excursion Ship Pleasure Boat Kawaguchiko - This attraction offers two experiences: a ship cruise and the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway cable car to Kachi Kachi Mountain, both providing close views of Mt. Fuji. The cruise on Lake Kawaguchiko lasts 20 minutes and offers a clear view of Mt. Fuji, weather permitting. The ship cruise requires an additional fee, but visitors can also take photos and proceed to the next attraction. - Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai, or the Eight Seas of Oshino, consists of eight ponds in the Fuji Five Lakes area, on the site of a former lake that dried up centuries ago. The ponds are fed by snowmelt from Mt. Fuji, filtered through volcanic rock over decades, resulting in crystal-clear, mineral-rich waters. Visitors can enjoy a close view of Mt. Fuji from this location.

- Tourist Information Center Fuji-Q Highland - Fuji-Q Highland (富士急ハイランド) is one of Japan’s most popular amusement parks, located in the Fuji Five Lake region at Mount Fuji’s base. It is renowned for its thrilling, record-breaking roller coasters and elaborate anime-themed rides and attractions. The park continually introduces new rides and attractions, including Guinness World Record-breaking roller coasters.
- Hakone Shrine - Dating back to 757, Hakone-jinja Shrine gained fame as military commanders and travelers prayed here for safe journeys. Today, it attracts numerous visitors who can learn about its history at the shrine treasure house (homotsuden) or admire the “red gate of peace” (heiwa no torii) in Ashinoko Lake. The shrine hosts monthly and seasonal festivals, including the Ashinoko Summer Festival Week from late July to early August, featuring a spectacular fireworks display with up to 18,500 fireworks illuminating the night sky above Ashinoko Lake.
