There are numerous restaurants around Lake Kawaguchiko where visitors can enjoy lunch.
- Mt. Fuji 5th Station - Located at 2300 meters above sea level, the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station provides a breathtaking view of the Fuji Five Lakes area, making it a favored destination even for those not climbing the mountain.
An entrance fee of 2100¥ per group is required.
- Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai is a quaint Japanese village in the Fuji Five Lake region, nestled between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former lake that dried up centuries ago. The eight ponds are nourished by snowmelt from Mount Fuji, filtering through lava layers for over 80 years, resulting in exceptionally clear spring water cherished by locals. Visitors can drink fresh spring water from Mount Fuji.
A close view of Mt. Fuji is possible if weather conditions are favorable.
- Oishi Park - Oishi Park, located on the north shore of Kawaguchiko, offers a stunning view of both the lake and Mt. Fuji.
- Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine - Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is one of around 1,300 Asama shrines in Japan, dedicated to the deity of volcanoes, particularly Mount Fuji. The shrine is part of the Mt. Fuji UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, recognized in 2013.
Asama shrines honor Konohanasakuya-hime, the goddess of Mt. Fuji and volcanoes in Japanese mythology. Most Asama shrines are within sight of Mt. Fuji; where this is not possible, miniature replicas of Mt. Fuji made from mountain rocks are placed within the shrine grounds.
- Lake Yamanaka - Yamanakako, the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes, features the “Swan Lake” sightseeing boat, formerly known as “Princess Odette.” The boat, designed to resemble a swan, offers a picturesque cruise at the base of Mt. Fuji.
- Narusawa Ice Cave - The Narusawa Hyoketsu Ice Cave is located at the eastern entrance to the Aokigahara Jukai “sea of trees” forest and is a year-round tourist attraction in the Fuji Five Lakes area.
Formed over 1150 years ago during the Jogan era (864 A.D.) by an eruption of Nagaoyama, a flank volcano of Mt. Fuji, the cave was designated a natural monument in 1929. It is renowned as a geological marvel.
Entrance tickets are not included.
- Fugaku Wind Cave - The Fuji Fugaku Wind Cave, surrounded by the lush Aokigahara Jukai forest, remains cool even in summer, with an average temperature of 3℃. Historically used as a refrigerator for silkworm eggs until the Showa era, the cave is a designated Japanese natural monument. The 201m long and 8.7m high cave does not produce an echo due to its sound-absorbing basaltic walls. Visitors can explore lava shelves, rope-like lava, and ice pillars that remain frozen even in summer during a 15-minute tour.
- Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nemba - At Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nemba, a restored thatched-roof village, visitors can enjoy the stunning scenery of the four seasons and the majestic view of Mt. Fuji, offering a rich and delightful experience.
