Amazing experience - We were a big group of 15 people of different ages and did a 4 day tour. Emmah from Hyrax organised everything perfectly, chose the perfect place for us to stay at a very good price. Our drivers were amazing(we had 3, mine was called Sami), told us interesting things about the animals and had incredible eyesight, which helped seeing a lot of animals. In the beginning we were afraid we might not be lucky enough to spot a lion (for I don't know what reason) but after 2 hours in the savannah we had already spotted plenty of them and by the third day we started even to get tired of seeing them :). The most amazing thing was seeing a leopard eating an antelope on top of a tree, we could hear its bones cracking... If you are wondering whether to choose Hyrax, definitely book straight ahead!

Big 5 and More- Great safari with Hyrax - Perfect safari tour in Masai Mara. Stay was at Sarova Camp which was the perfect resting location in between game drives. Our driver Ben was a fantastic guide - he was incredibly knowledgeable about both animals and the local fauna. We spotted the Big 5 over 2 days, plus a few extras including cheetahs, birds, and many types of antelope. Booking with Hyrax was convenient, efficient, and easy. Irene from their team was incredibly communicative. Would not hesitate to recommend Hyrax for a future safari traveler.

Wonderful tour operation and wonderful guide - We have chosen Hyrax for our first safari experience, and it turned out great! Communication about the tour plan was clear and efficient. Everything since pickup by our excellent guide Sammy was smooth and joyful. He provided us an unforgettable safari tour with his deep knowledge and enthusiasm about the great nature and wildlifes. We have spotted way more wildlifes than expected. In general, it was a great experience for us and we'd love to recommend Hyrax to those who plan to go on safari tour in Kenya.

An Unforgettable 9-Day Safari Experience with Hyrax Safari - We had an incredible 9-day safari with Hyrax Safari, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From the very beginning, Emmah was fantastic—she made the whole planning process so easy, was flexible with all our requests, and even arranged a last-minute transfer for us without any hassle. She went above and beyond, even coming to meet us in person, which made us feel really well cared for.
Our guide and driver, Ben, was equally amazing. He was not only knowledgeable and friendly but also extremely well-connected, which meant we had the best possible experiences in Masai Mara, Nairobi National Park, and Amboseli. He shared so many fascinating facts about wildlife and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment.

A Seamless, Unforgettable Safari – Hyrax Safaris Delivered Beyond Expectations 🐾 - From the very first message, Hyrax Safaris impressed us with their professionalism and personal touch. Roselyne was an absolute star—her communication was clear, reassuring, and always timely. She made the planning process feel effortless, keeping me informed every step of the way and answering all my questions with patience and care. We even had a few chats via WhatsApp, and nothing was ever too much trouble.
The day before our safari, we were met at our hotel by Edwin, who was joining the trip as part of his learning journey. He collected the remaining payment, provided a receipt, and surprised us with four safari hats—a thoughtful gesture that my kids absolutely loved and wore with pride throughout the trip.
The safari itself was outstanding. Our driver and guide, Jim, was phenomenal—his knowledge of the Masai Mara was deep and engaging, and he answered every question with enthusiasm. Thanks to his expertise, we saw four of the Big Five, including the elusive leopard and cheetah, which felt like a dream come true.
Roselyne’s recommendation to stay at Enkorok Mara Camp was spot on. The camp was comfortable, well-run, and perfectly located for game drives. While the journey from Nairobi is long and bumpy, it’s absolutely worth it for the experience that awaits.
Having a private safari made all the difference—we had the flexibility to tailor our days, linger where we wanted, and enjoy the adventure at our own pace. It was worth every extra penny for the freedom and intimacy it provided.
Jim and Edwin were not just guides—they became part of the fun. We shared laughs, stories, and unforgettable moments. They’re a true credit to Hyrax Safaris.

Best service, quick response, amazing experience - Amazing service, they organized the whole trip for us (flights, transport, hotels, experiences, and guides). Everything eas on point and more than what we expected. The guide was an amazing off-roader in the Safari with extensive knowledge and stories about the animals! Amazing safari experience organised by Hyrax at Ashnil Camp - We had a great experience with Hyrax Safaris. Irene was our coordinator and she did a great job in communicating swiftly and efficiently.
Our guide was Antony - he was punctual, kind and patient. He did a good job with the game drives. We stayed at the Ashnil Camp. The camp was very impressive with well equipped and comfortable tents, amazing food (including Indian options) and extremely friendly and kind staff. Thank you Irene and Antony - our overall experience at Maasai Mara was very memorable. I would definitely recommend going with Hyrax Safaris.

the African experience - I want to thank Hyrax so much....I would say I booked around a 3 star price but the accommodation I got was more like 4-5 star. the only night I had an issue with the room Hyrax changed it immediately after 20 mins. I generally don't leave comments unless its very bad or good.....so thank u Hyrax...great job and service.

Wonderful visit to Masai Mara in March - Hyrax arranged a personalized itinerary for me and my wife. We were picked up from our hotel in Nairobi and brought to Wilson Airport for a short 50 minute flight to Masai Mara. At the airstrip in Masai Mara, we were met by Benson!
Benson was an absolutely amazing host. He is incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife, knows his way around, is deeply connected to a network of guides who share location information about sitings, and is able to spot animals far away and guide us to them. Benson is also a lovely person, and it was easy to spend 6 hours a day riding around the reserve with him.
Hyrax gave us choices of lodging options within our budget. We selected Ashnil Mara, whose location on the river was a treat. From our table in the dining room, we could see and hear Hippos and Crocodiles at every meal. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable and the food buffet was plentiful and varied.
I highly recommend a visit to Masai Mara where you are sure to see the Big 5. Hyrax delivered everything they promised and made things simple.
