Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Masai Mara National Reserve - Guests will be collected from their hotel between 7:00 – 7:30 AM to start the journey to the Masai Mara in a 4x4 Land Cruiser Jeep. The drive takes about 5.5 to 6 hours, passing through the picturesque Great Rift Valley with a stop at the viewpoint for photos and refreshments. Arrival in the Masai Mara is around midday, followed by check-in at the chosen lodge or tented camp. After enjoying a hot lunch and some rest, guests will embark on their first afternoon game drive at approximately 3:30 PM. Expect to see elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, and possibly a first glimpse of the migration. Return to camp at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara National Reserve Full Day

Masai Mara National Reserve - Following an early breakfast (or packed breakfast), guests will set out on a full-day game drive across the expansive savannah, focusing on areas near the Mara River, where dramatic wildebeest crossings occur. This is the ideal time of year to witness the Great Migration—thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles crossing the crocodile-filled river, often pursued by predators. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush, then exploration of different regions of the park continues, searching for the Big Five and other remarkable wildlife. Return to camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight. Optional activities include visiting a local Masai village to learn about traditional culture (additional cost).

Masai Mara National Reserve Full Day

Masai Mara National Reserve - The day begins with an early morning game drive from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM, an optimal time to spot lions and other predators before they retreat from the heat. Return to the lodge for breakfast and enjoy a few hours of leisure—relax, swim, or take in the views. After lunch, guests will head out for an afternoon game drive to explore less-visited areas of the reserve or track specific wildlife sightings from earlier days. Alternatively, an optional guided walking safari (available in some conservancies) can be chosen, or guests may relax for the rest of the day. Return for a final dinner in the wild and overnight stay.

Masai Mara – Nairobi

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport - After breakfast, guests will check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi, with a lunch stop along the way. Estimated arrival time in Nairobi is late afternoon or early evening. Guests will be dropped off at their hotel or directly at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for their onward flight.
