• 112 McVicar Road - This adventure begins from either your ship or Napier city, followed by a one-hour bus ride into the heart of the North Island. Enjoy a scenic rafting experience down grade 2 rapids while being serenaded by birdsong. The trip includes a captivating narrative on the area’s history, spanning 80 million years, from pre-European times with local Maori to the recent past and present. This activity is perfect for families, as children can safely swim down the river and enjoy the fresh water. Grade 2 rapids are exciting yet gentle, so if you prefer to stay dry, you can opt not to jump in. Photos of your journey are available either mailed to you or on our Facebook page at no cost. A homemade light lunch is provided afterward before returning to your ship or exploring Napier’s Art Deco buildings. We aim to have everyone back on board your ship 2 hours before departure.
