Our host, Anne, the remaining owner of a couple who started the company is committed to the concept that she and her husband developed to create a business that was good for the animals that provide the resource, the land it occupies and the people involved. You can only wish her well and do what you can to support her. The support part is easy, the mozzarella is fabulous! We spent time with the young water buffaloes who love the attention, the brushing, and who make you feel part of the operation. Where else in the Bay area can you interact with a water buffalo who loves you (at least as long as your brushing him/her)?

We loved hearing the story of how Ramini came about and loved seeing how it all functioned and especially seeing and meeting the water buffalos (George was my favorite!). We especially appreciate and admire the humane treatment of the animals. Our only minor complaint is that we thought the tour could have been done in a shorter amount of time, perhaps 3 hours. There seemed to be, for us, too much downtime. Otherwise, it was great and we wish you great success!

The story of Ramini Mozzaerlla is very compelling, the love for the animals is obvious, the tour was really fun and the cheese is delicious!

We absolutely loved every moment of our time at Ramini. Audrey is a great host, the information was very informative and fun to hear, We felt at home and appreciate her philosophy of being true to herself by taking care not to seek profit over conscience. We left feeling like the day was magical, our time with the water buffaloes is one memory we will never forget and the cheese is incredible. Thank you!
