Great family friendly adventure! - We had such a wonderful experience on our horse riding adventure in Sonoma! From the moment we arrived, it was clear this is a small, family-owned business that truly cares about their horses and their guests. Everyone was incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming—especially with our kids, who were a little nervous at first.
The horses were calm, well cared for, and perfectly matched to each rider’s experience level. Our guides took the time to explain everything and made sure everyone felt comfortable before heading out on the trail. The scenery was absolutely beautiful—rolling hills, peaceful vineyards, and that classic Sonoma countryside you hope to see.
What made the experience extra special was the personal touch. You can tell this family takes pride in what they do, and they made us feel more like guests than customers. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip and something our whole family will remember.
If you're looking for a relaxed, authentic horse riding experience in Sonoma with kind people and well-loved horses, I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back!

Blink and you’ll think you're in Europe instead of 1.5 hours from SF. - Friendly, efficient, beautiful trails with ample shade and views.

The best horseback riding experience and great views - This experience was amazing. I really enjoyed horseback riding here and the tour guide Brianna and another man I can’t remember his name were fantastic! I would 10/10 recommend going here for horseback riding!!

Sunday morning trail ride - I booked a private experience for my husband and I. It was my husband’s first time riding and it was a great experience for us both. The views were beautiful, the horses were gentle and the staff was friendly. We plan on returning in the future.

One for the books 🤙🏻 - Unbelievable experience at The Ranch at Lake Sonoma! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The guides were amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and very informative, which made the experience even better. The views were absolutely beautiful, truly breathtaking in every direction. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience, and I will without a doubt be going back!

Horseback riding tour - We did the horseback riding tour up in the mountains to reach beautiful Lake Sonoma, and it was an amazing experience! The host was very friendly and personable, and we even enjoyed a glass of wine after the ride while chatting with the owner. Having only been horseback riding a few times, I was a bit anxious about going up the hills, but the horses were incredibly well trained and steady, which made the ride feel safe and enjoyable. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
