Nairobi - Solio Ranch

Equator Marker - Guests will be picked up by the safari driver guide from their hotel in Nairobi after breakfast and then proceed to Solio Ranch, located in the greater Laikipia Region north of Nyeri town in Kenya’s central province. Solio Ranch is 180 kilometers from Nairobi. Upon arrival at the reserve, guests will enjoy lunch at their lodge while taking in panoramic views. In the afternoon, a game drive will offer the opportunity to observe rhinoceroses and other wildlife such as buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, impalas, Thomson’s gazelles, and warthogs. Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Aberdare Country Club, Rhino Watch Lodge, or a similar accommodation.

Game Drive at Solio Ranch and Return to Nairobi

Nairobi - Start the day with a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding hills and the snowcapped Mount Kenya in the distance. Later, embark on a game drive to search for wildlife within the reserve, keeping an eye out for big cats like leopards, lions, or hyenas, as well as tracking the large populations of black and white rhinos and numerous bird species. As lunchtime approaches, return to the lodge for a delightful meal before preparing to head back to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi late in the evening and be dropped off at the hotel or airport.
