• Nallathanniya - Adam’s Peak is the fifth highest mountain in Sri Lanka, reaching 2243 meters. It holds sacred significance for several religions, making it a revered destination for pilgrims worldwide.

These pilgrimages typically occur during the drier months, from December to April. This expansive sanctuary features terrain ranging from 1000 to over 7000 feet, and combined with the rain, it can make the hike quite challenging.

The majority of the trek through the forest involves ascending a staircase with thousands of steps carved into the rock or made from cement. Due to weather conditions, the steps may be covered in moss. An experienced local hiking guide will lead the hike.

The path will be slightly less steep but remains slippery. It offers stunning sights such as waterfalls, breathtaking views of the countryside, and vistas of the Peak Sanctuary jungles. A visit to one of the waterfalls is included on the descent. The hike concludes upon reaching the trailhead.
