Continue through the park, pausing at the top of the falls, which is a breathtaking sight. Here, the Nile, the world’s longest river, is squeezed through a narrow rock gap (only 7 meters wide) before dramatically plunging 43 meters. From here, proceed to the accommodation along the Nile River.

Safari Game Drives in Murchison Falls National Park: Spot Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Hippos, and Crocodiles

Murchison Falls National Park - After breakfast, head to the Delta in search of birdlife and enjoy a game drive to spot lions, giraffes, herds of elephants, buffaloes, and more. Return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. This boat trip along the Nile is often considered the highlight of a visit to Murchison, as it offers the chance to observe wildlife. Along this river stretch, there are approximately 4,000 hippos and some massive Nile crocodiles. The birdlife is spectacular, with vibrant kingfishers and bee-eaters flitting along the riverbanks. If fortunate, you might spot the rare and prehistoric-looking shoebill, resembling a cross between the dodo and a dinosaur. The boat takes you to the base of the falls, enhancing their magnificence.

Morning Game Drive in the Rest of the Game Park

Budongo Forest Chimpanzee Tracking - After an early breakfast, travel west of the Game Park in search of chimps, baboons, birds, monkeys, elephants, and crocodiles, among other animals. This includes chimp trekking and some walking. Inquire about chimpanzee permit availability, as it is an optional activity. Cotton clothing is highly recommended to avoid small thorns, as the path is newly created in the forest.

Afterwards, be transferred back to Entebbe to the departure location.
