Best day trip I've ever been on! - I had the best time today. David planned out my full day journey. He arrived to pick me up at the hotel right on time after confirming with me the day before. We drove to Hell's Gate stopping at a scenic overlook with incredible views of the Rift Valley. We then drove to the Elsa entrance of Hell's Gate National Park. Before entering the park we met with a pre-arranged park guide and selected a bicycle small enough for this vertically challenged old lady. The park guide chose a shorter 5 mile ride at my request followed by a hike of about 2 miles. Note: e-bikes are only a $20 upgrade but since I booked last minute, they were sold out. We saw so many animals, all roaming free, and it is amazing. First up was a water buffalo and we ended up seeing a lot of them. We saw gazelle, impala, zebras, wart hogs, wildebeest, ostrich, giraffe, baboons and so many interesting birds. There are rest rooms available. We next stopped for lunch at a beautiful lunch where David pre-ordered my food. After lunch was a short drive to Lake Naivasha where I had a boat tour. There were so many beautiful birds at the lake. My guide on the boat was very interesting and informative. He was able to identify all of the different species we saw and he even spotted a school of hippos on land, grazing in the shade. The boat brought us to Crescent Lake where there is a game sanctuary and like Hell's Gate, the animals roam free, except for an aggressive male ostrich. On the island I saw several giraffes, including a baby and a young juvenile. There were many zebras, gazelle, impalas, waterbuck, wildebeast and elands. There were velvet monkeys where we boarded boat.
This tour exceeded all of my expectations. David my guide was great. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe, the car was clean and comfortable. I loved that all of the park fees, bibycle rental fee, boat ride, were included in the tour fees. I can't think of anything I would change.
If you have a free day in Nairobi, this is the tour you want to take.

An Educational Day - The drive to Hell’s gate was very educational. We saw many small towns where tiny homes and stores were built with corrugated aluminum. We experienced the heavy truck traffic on the road to Uganda. While the traffic was very heavy, David navigated it like a champ. Hell’s gate had some very interesting geological formations, zebras, baboons, gazelles, warthogs, and elands. There was a big rock wall that people were climbing, but that wasn’t our idea of fun. Most people were riding through the park on bicycles but, again, not our thing, so David drove us through.
Then we went to Lake Naivasha where we got into a boat and were shown the many, many species of birds living around the lake, along with hippos. Then the boat took us to Crescent Island where we could walk freely among zebras, gazelles, waterbuck, and ostriches, since there are no predatory animals on the island.

I day we will never forget - Hells Gate. Wonderful bike ride and hike. We upgraded to an e bike. Great decision. Losts of wildlife. Great scenery. David was our overall guide. Beyond excellent. He took care of us. He found ways to answer issues to came up due to a national strike. He got us to Crescent Island even when the roads were closed with strikers. We had a wonderful exhausting day. He had Gomez guide myself on the bike ride. He was also excellent. My wife had a medical issue and stayed back with David. They also had fun while I was riding.

Fantastic day of exploration in Hell's Gate! - Our day trip to Hell’s Gate National Park, Lake Naivasha, and Crescent Island was nothing short of fantastic, thanks to the seamless coordination and expertise of our guides, David and Gomez.
The highlights began at Hell’s Gate, where Gomez led us on an incredible bike tour. His deep knowledge of the local wildlife was impressive; he pointed out and shared fascinating facts about hyraxes, warthogs, giraffes, zebras, and gazelles. The hike through the gorge—complete with monkey sightings—was a thrill, and Gomez ensured we felt informed and engaged every step of the way.
David was the backbone of our excursion, managing all the logistics and transportation with professional ease. He ensured the transition from our gorge hike to the next leg of the journey was perfectly timed.
Lake Naivasha: We enjoyed a beautiful boat ride where we encountered hippos and a stunning variety of birdlife.
Crescent Island Sanctuary: The walking safari allowed us to get remarkably close to the animals, providing a unique perspective on Kenya's natural beauty.
From the rugged landscapes of the park to the peaceful waters of the lake, this was a perfectly paced and highly educational day. We cannot recommend David and Gomez enough to anyone looking to explore the breathtaking scenery of this region.
Thank you both for an awesome experience!

Don't risk your life! - This company used the rift valley road instead of the main highway. Traffic condition was very bad with countless of trucks and dangerous takeover.
