Hell’s Gate is a must go! - We had an absolutely incredible experience with Issac as our guide to Hell’s Gate National Park. From the very beginning of the trip, he impressed us with his knowledge, sharing detailed historical and cultural insights on our drive that truly enriched the journey. He was attentive, engaging, and made sure we were comfortable at every step. Issac even went the extra mile by arranging a lunch stop for us along the way, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the day even smoother. Hell’s Gate itself was breathtaking – the landscapes, wildlife, and scenery were unforgettable. On top of that, the hippo boat ride was an excellent addition and absolutely worth it – a perfect way to round out the adventure. Issac’s professionalism, warmth, and dedication made the entire trip seamless and memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and highly recommend him to anyone looking to explore Nairobi’s natural wonders!

Great adventure for the active explorer! - Great experience from start to finish! Prompt communication from the driver who picked me up from my hotel and drove me out to Hell’s Gate National Park (about 2-3 hours depending on traffic); along the way we had great conversations and he pointed out sites of the Kenyan countryside and made recommendations of other tours in the area. Once we got to Hell’s Gate my safari guide, Gomez, was waiting by the bike rental and had me try out a bike to make sure I’d be comfortable on it; I took the first one I tried as it was in great riding shape, but realized after a few miles that the seat was a bit hard. Probably worth trying a few to find one you’ll really like. The biking safari was awesome! You get to see the animals and the site of the preserve up close and Gomez was an awesome and very knowledgeable guide! After the bike ride in we explored the Hell’s Gate Canyon itself on foot and got to feel the natural hot springs and see the places that inspired scenes from the movie Lion King. After that we rode back to the main gate of the park where Steve picked me up and we were off to Lame Naivasha for a boat safari where we saw hippos, waterbucks, and all sort of birds! After the boat Steve drove me back to Nairobi dropped me right back at my hotel. All in all it was a very full and very fun day (and I got plenty of exercise)! While I had a blast, this is not something I would recommend as an activity for children, the elderly, or anyone not in pretty good physical condition. Be prepared to ride at least 10 miles and walk another couple on top of that. If your not looking for that much exercise you can also explore the park from the comfort of a car. Thanks again to Steve and Gomez for the great experience; it’s one I’ll never forget!

Fantastic day - This tour honestly exceeded all expectations. Isaac was a terrific guide. He was flexible, informative, and made sure all our needs were met. He's also just a wonderful person to talk to. The cycling was great. It was relatively flat and easy-going, although it can be quite hot, so I'd recommend bringing a decent amount of water. As we were cycling, we saw zebras, giraffes, warthogs, and other wildlife. There's a spot where you can try top-roping along the way, and it's very beginner friendly. The hike through the gorge was short but scenic, and the boat ride afterwards on Lake Naivasha was a great way to cap off the trip. I highly recommend it!

Hell’s Gate National Park Private Day Trip - We had an amazing time doing the day trip to Hell’s gate national park. Isaac was a friendly and a great driver. Our guide at the park Innocent was amazing as well and we enjoyed the scenic bike ride and hike. Would definitely recommend!

I had a blast - nice staff! - I had a lovely time! Leki - the guide at Hell’s Gate was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and helpful. The bike safari was a lot of fun. He’s also great at taking pictures / videos. Joe - the boat driver at Lake Naivasha - was so nice. The boat ride was so serene, and we saw a lot of hippos. Safari - the driver from and to Nairobi - was the best. He gave me a lot of fun facts about Kenya that related to what we saw during the car ride. He was timely, professional, and energetic! Overall, I would recommend.

A lovely experience with Nuru. - We had a pleasant time in Naivasha with Nuru. He was very patient, attentive and ensured we had a comfortable experience. Thanks Nuru!

Suggestive - Recommended experience. Hell's Gate National Park is truly unique and suggestive, as is the walk through the gorges . Our driver, Isaac, was punctual and very kind, providing us with lots of information about Kenya and Hell's Gate. Leki, who accompanied us on the bike tour, also told us many anecdotes that made the excursion more interesting. We didn't take the optional trip to Lake Naivasha because we had already done it the previous days, but it's still recommended.

Tons of nature in one day! - Perfect trip if you love nature! The trip starts off with a car ride from Nairobi during which our guide Isaac was exceptionally hospitable and eager to share his knowledge about the animals in the park and gave us some interesting trivia about Kenya as well. The car was clean and in really good shape which is not always the case when traveling here. During the bike ride you get to see a lot of animals in a setting that is more laid back than a driving safari. We saw zebra’s, warthogs and gazelles in abundance. We also stumbled across a buffalo herd and saw some giraffes. After the bike ride we went on a hike through the gorges where we were able to observe the hot springs. We were accompanied by our second guide Chris during the bike ride/hike who was always pointing out interesting facts and happy to answer our questions. The boat ride is optional but you should absolutely take it if you appreciate birds and hippos. The boat goes at a calm pace which means you can watch birds with binoculars while moving which is usually not possible in a driving safari. After the boat trip we ate lunch. The lunch was optional and is at a basic roadside tourist buffet. We ate rice with meat and vegetables. The combination of the lake, gorges, cliffs, biking safari, hippos and birds is amazing great experience. Organisation, hospitality and logistics were perfect.

Great tour! Inspiration for Lion King with beautiful animals - This was a wonderful tour. Our driver Stephen was very kind and funny and our tour guide at Hell’s Gate was amazing! Gomez was so knowledgeable about all of the trees, mountains, and animals that we saw and also took pictures of us! The bike ride and hike through the gorges was very pleasant. Lots of beautiful animals to see in addition to the landscape being the inspiration for the Lion King!

Got to see loads of animals and had really nice guides - I went an alone and felt very comfortable with Isaac my driver who made sure I was comfortable and friendly throughout the drive. He gave me plenty of time to appreciate the views at the rift valley. I saw loads of different animals during my cycle through Hell’s gate and again my tour guide Frederick allowed me to stop multiple times to take photos and see the animals. He was patient on the way back as I did struggle with the 8km cycle. Then I went for the optional boat ride which was amazing because I got to see hippos. I had food at the restaurant which was ok. But overall, a really good experience!
