Outstanding experience - Stephen our driver and Gomez, our guide for the cycling were both excellent. Leslie was able to book us this excursion the day before without a hitch. Although it rained during our boat ride, we were able to make the best of it.

Nuru is the best guide! - Nuru is the best guide! We loved his enthusiasm from the very first moment. He told us so much about Kenya and its history. We could literally ask him ALL the questions in the world, and he answered everything with so much knowledge, patience and humor. It was such a pleasure to spend time with him; he made the whole experience not only informative but also incredibly gezellig and relaxed. He is starting his own company soon, and we can truly recommend everyone to book their tours with him. You won’t regret it! The bike ride was also super fun. Calm, beautiful and such a special way to see the animals up close. The boat trip was very relaxing and a perfect way to end the day.

Great bike safari - Great experience both the driver (Isaac) and the tour guide at Hell's Gate (John) were fantastic, extremely nice and accommodating. John in particular made the bike and foot tour very memorable; I would highly recommend him and the trip, and would definitely do it again.

Perfect day trip - I took this tour with Nuru last weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. He was a great guide and very accommodating to the fact that I had very little rest due to a long travel day before. It was a perfect itinerary with beautiful nature and the opportunity to see many animals, and I really appreciated the kindness and flexility. The perfect weekend trip from Nairobi! Would really recommend.

Hell’s Gate is a must go! - We had an absolutely incredible experience with Issac as our guide to Hell’s Gate National Park. From the very beginning of the trip, he impressed us with his knowledge, sharing detailed historical and cultural insights on our drive that truly enriched the journey. He was attentive, engaging, and made sure we were comfortable at every step. Issac even went the extra mile by arranging a lunch stop for us along the way, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the day even smoother. Hell’s Gate itself was breathtaking – the landscapes, wildlife, and scenery were unforgettable. On top of that, the hippo boat ride was an excellent addition and absolutely worth it – a perfect way to round out the adventure. Issac’s professionalism, warmth, and dedication made the entire trip seamless and memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and highly recommend him to anyone looking to explore Nairobi’s natural wonders!

Great adventure for the active explorer! - Great experience from start to finish! Prompt communication from the driver who picked me up from my hotel and drove me out to Hell’s Gate National Park (about 2-3 hours depending on traffic); along the way we had great conversations and he pointed out sites of the Kenyan countryside and made recommendations of other tours in the area. Once we got to Hell’s Gate my safari guide, Gomez, was waiting by the bike rental and had me try out a bike to make sure I’d be comfortable on it; I took the first one I tried as it was in great riding shape, but realized after a few miles that the seat was a bit hard. Probably worth trying a few to find one you’ll really like. The biking safari was awesome! You get to see the animals and the site of the preserve up close and Gomez was an awesome and very knowledgeable guide! After the bike ride in we explored the Hell’s Gate Canyon itself on foot and got to feel the natural hot springs and see the places that inspired scenes from the movie Lion King. After that we rode back to the main gate of the park where Steve picked me up and we were off to Lame Naivasha for a boat safari where we saw hippos, waterbucks, and all sort of birds! After the boat Steve drove me back to Nairobi dropped me right back at my hotel. All in all it was a very full and very fun day (and I got plenty of exercise)! While I had a blast, this is not something I would recommend as an activity for children, the elderly, or anyone not in pretty good physical condition. Be prepared to ride at least 10 miles and walk another couple on top of that. If your not looking for that much exercise you can also explore the park from the comfort of a car. Thanks again to Steve and Gomez for the great experience; it’s one I’ll never forget!

Fantastic day - This tour honestly exceeded all expectations. Isaac was a terrific guide. He was flexible, informative, and made sure all our needs were met. He's also just a wonderful person to talk to. The cycling was great. It was relatively flat and easy-going, although it can be quite hot, so I'd recommend bringing a decent amount of water. As we were cycling, we saw zebras, giraffes, warthogs, and other wildlife. There's a spot where you can try top-roping along the way, and it's very beginner friendly. The hike through the gorge was short but scenic, and the boat ride afterwards on Lake Naivasha was a great way to cap off the trip. I highly recommend it!

Hell’s Gate National Park Private Day Trip - We had an amazing time doing the day trip to Hell’s gate national park. Isaac was a friendly and a great driver. Our guide at the park Innocent was amazing as well and we enjoyed the scenic bike ride and hike. Would definitely recommend!

Got to see loads of animals and had really nice guides - I went an alone and felt very comfortable with Isaac my driver who made sure I was comfortable and friendly throughout the drive. He gave me plenty of time to appreciate the views at the rift valley. I saw loads of different animals during my cycle through Hell’s gate and again my tour guide Frederick allowed me to stop multiple times to take photos and see the animals. He was patient on the way back as I did struggle with the 8km cycle. Then I went for the optional boat ride which was amazing because I got to see hippos. I had food at the restaurant which was ok. But overall, a really good experience!
