It was a great experience for us because we came very close to nature and travel over water for the first time.. - REVIEW OF TOUR TO LAKE NAIVASHA. My wife and I set out around 9 am under the professional guidance of one Mr Dennis who came to pick us from our hotel room at West lake on Saturday (11/10/25) While on our way, we had a stop over at the Great Rift Valley as it crosses Kenya. Here, we appreciate the wonders of nature as we watch the floor of the valley several meters below the sea level. Mr Dennis who is very respectful and exhibiting a high level of professionalism patiently waited for us. We arrived Lake Naivasha around 11 am. We purchase our tickets and immediately proceed on boat riding which turned out to be a worthwhile experience. One Mr Steve was our boat driver and our guide. We saw different species of birds especially very close to the fish market. Then next, we took the sight of a group of hippopotamuses just on the shore of the lake. Some of them lay basking in the sun while some were so busy eating the grass. From there, we proceeded to the Crescent Island where we saw several species of animal grazing along the lake's shore. Among the animals we saw were the Impala gazzel, the antelopes, group of giant pelicans birds, monkeys, zebras and few hippopotamuses. While coming back, we enjoyed the cool breeze of the water The lake is so vast that we couldn't see the end. While coming back to Nairobi, we saw several lovely flowers paraded along the road side. We were dropped off at our hotel around 5.30 pm in the evening. We felt so fulfilled as we got the real value for our money. We hereby say a very big thank you to the companies that packaged this tour like Ufitfly and TripAdvisor. We look forward to coming again with the children. Thanks.
